NIGHT APPROACHED swiftly while I'm watching the enemy's every move. Establishing a plan against them was easy now that they thought Ms. Dela Vega came unprotected.

Every conversation in Chelsea's phone doesn't last long 'cause she's deleting it immediately that's why I'm keeping my eyes on the laptop for hours now. I've been reading their plans, their moves and most importantly, her conversation with her father.

She informed Black Venom that Ms. Dela Vega is on her hands with the Golden snake necklace. She confidently said to him that everything is going according to her plan. And that the connection of Ms. Dela Vega and her hired protectors ended, so they don't have a problem anymore.

Listening to their talk, I can't help but to let out a devious smile when Black Venom commended her and of course she sounded proud. I could now imagine the poor look on her face once we show up there and blow up her plan. Tss, a mafia heiress and she doesn't even know that her phone is hacked.

I was in the middle of getting into the mansion's security system, when I heard Anna's voice.

"Haylee, Cedrick prepared this for you. He said you didn't have your lunch."

Nag-angat naman ako ng tingin sa tray ng pagkain na inilapag niya sa center table.

"Hindi pa ba siya umaalis?" I inquired and turned my gaze back on my laptop.

Pagkatapos naming malaman ang kinaroroonan ni Ms. Dela Vega ay napagkasunduan namin ni Anna na sa bahay na niya gawin ang planong pagligtas sa kapatid niya. Pumayag naman ako dahil hindi ko naman siya pwedeng basta-bastang dalhin sa Sword.

I told Cedrick to go home but that stupid abnormal kid didn't listen and followed us here. Hinayaan ko na lang dahil wala akong panahon na makipagtalo pa sa kaniya.

"You're so rude," she said, "bakit mo ba tinataboy ang boyfriend mo?"

"He's not my boyfriend," I simply answered.

"Yeah right." Sambit niya sa tonong hindi siya naniniwala.

Napabuntong hininga na lang ako at nag-angat ng tingin sa kaniya.

"You don't look like you're worried."

Kanina lang ay halos sugurin na niya ang kinaroroonan ni Chelsea nang sabihin kong nandoon si Ms. Dela Vega sa bahay nito.

"I was worried," aniya at napatingin sa akin, "but thinking that you're on our side, I don't know but that sent me relief."

I scoffed. "What am I? A worry reliever?"

Natigilan ako sa sinabi nang marealize na ang corny nun. Tsk, kasalanan 'to ng abnormal na Cedrick na 'yon!

Narinig ko naman ang pagtawa ni Anna kaya sinamaan ko siya ng tingin.

"You do realize that was corny," natatawang sabi niya.

I rolled my eyes. "Whatever."

Natigil naman siya sa pagtawa at mayamaya pa ay seryosong nagsalita.

"The truth is I envy the talent you have Haylee," aniya at napabuntong hininga. "Ever since I found out that I still have a sister, all I want is to protect her. Siya na lang ang pamilyang mayroon ako kaya hindi ko hahayaang pati siya ay mawala sa akin. And with your skills, strength and bravery, mapoprotektahan mo ang mga taong mahalaga sa'yo. And that's what I want. Sana kaya ko rin protektahan ang Ate ko. Maybe that way, we can be living together without living in fear and worry that one of these days, I might lose her. "
