The hall erupted with claps and cheers from the merpeople. I turned around and gave them a genuine smile. The ceremony was a success and the ocean have never felt bluer. I felt like I gained everyone's trust and my confidence for the first time. The possessor and the protector of Cordelia, Aman Sinaya's bridge to Ayanis- the fourth princess of Ayanis, Princess Merina Lilienne Amelia Neris.

After all is said and done, the after party came. Everyone is celebrating our success. But more importantly...

My siblings ran towards me and gave me a tight hug. I hugged them back and smiled at each and every one of them after the hug.

"Oh my god! I'm so happy for you," Ate Serenia said as she bounce back from hugging me.

"You rock, Merina!" sabi naman ni Kuya Ronald as he showed me his fist. Kuya Semyon took both of my hands and smiled at me.

"You made us proud, Merina." My always calm brother said. "You really are...a princess."

I can't help but feel happy about that fact. I really did it. I proved my worth. Now, I can proudly say...that I'm a princess of this kingdom.

"Thank you...Thank you, kuya," I said as I feel my tears welling up.

"Okay, okay. Don't cry now," Kuya Ronald chuckled. "There's still someone I think you need to talk to." He said and gestured in some direction. My eyes followed where he is pointing and I saw Ace standing in the near distance.

He smiled. It wasn't exactly how I saw it in the memory that was shown to me. But it was close. I hope a day will come when Ace can finally smile like he did back then.

"Ace," I said when he got closer to us. He bowed first to pay respect to us. His eyes wandered to me and my siblings for a moment before he turned to me.

"Uy Ace bro! Congrats sa inyo ng kapatid ko," singit ni Kuya Roland. "Alagaan mo yan ha!"

"Yes sir," sagot ni Ace. Talagang nagkasundo nga talaga sila.

"I'm still skeptical about you," sabi ni Kuya Semyon habang inaayos ang salamin. "Even that shit-stain was able to hurt my sister. Obviously, I can't trust someone whom I've only known for days."

"Sus! Yan na naman po si Manong Semyon na protective," Ate Serenia said and we laughed.

"I have no other hidden agendas aside from cherishing Lia with all that I can," Ace swore with a completely straight face. I tried my best to suppress the smile that is itching to form from my lips. But in the end, I can't really help but smile. I found someone...who truly loves me.
