The very next day, we were set to leave. I didn't pack much since I won't be gone for too long as I have already kept my word of going back here after claiming the jewel. I told the others about my leave and to my surprise, I'm not the only one leaving.

"Ang aga naman nating umalis," I heard Yael said as he carry his own bags. He's also leaving Horizon Academy with Amethyst while I am with Ace. Yes, Ethan was right.

A black van parked infront of us. Ace and Amethyst came out of the van. Another man wearing a Horizon Academy security uniform (who I think will be driving the van) came out of the van and took our belongings. He put them in the back of the car with much care.

"Princess," Lumapit sa akin si Ace. I'm still mad at him. He offered to help me into the van. Arleast ngayon tinatry niya ng maging polite. We sat at the far end of the car while Amethyst and Yael were infront. Amethyst and Yael were strangely quiet in the car. So it's just us and this uncomfortable atmosphere.

"You lied to me," di ko mapigilang sabihin. "Sabi mo wala ang Headmaster pero nakausap siya ni Yael."

"I didn't lie to you," sagot niya sa akin.

"Then sinong nakausap ni Yael?"

"That wasn't the headmaster."

"What?" I turned to Yael para tanungin siya. Pero tulog na si Yael sa upuan niya.

"Princess," I turned to Ace when he called me. "This is going to be a long ride," he said and put earphones on my ears. I tried to protest but then I heard the melodic hums coming from the earphones. It was soft and delicate, the kind that can make you feel relaxed and can lull you to sleep. I felt his hands pull me closer and made my head rest on his shoulder.

"You should rest. Stop thinking too much."

I let my self drown in the harmonious lullaby coming from the earphone. I thought this ride was going to be bumpy but it was surprisingly steady. Before I knew it, I fell asleep.

When I woke up, we were already by the shore. I look infront and Yael was fast asleep on Amethyst's lap and she was playing with his hair.

"Charon," Ace called the driver and gave him a few coins that I don't recognize.

"Obolos!" The jolly driver exclaimed and quickly hid the coin in his pocket.

I look at the window and the vast ocean before me. Suddenly, I felt energized and excited. Finally, I'm back...

I opened the car door and stepped out. But I miscalculated our height from the ground and tripped over. I felt an arm caught me by the waist.

"You're being clumsy again, princess." Ace whispered close on my ear from behind me. His breath was cold and it sends shivers down my spine and made me all tingly inside. Embarrassing, Merlia.

"T-Thank you," I flushed and tried to get out of his grip. But he only pulled me back inside the car and made me sit back on my seat. I look at him and our eyes met. I felt my cheeks went even redder so I looked away. Dumaan siya sa harap ko at naunang bumaba ng kotse.

When he's finally outside, he held out his hand to me as if to help me get out of the car. I want to tell him I'll be fine but I remembered what happened just a while ago. So I just accepted his offer.

The driver also went out of the car and start unmounting our things.

"That's all, right?!" the driver said as he put our things down. "Sir Ace?"
