"Engineer Mendoza, magsisimula na raw po yung meeting. "

I stopped typing and looked up. I saw Lian, secretary of Tito Steve, holding the door knob and waiting for me to respond.  

"Yeah, I'll just finish this. Susunod ako. Thank you Lian" I said and smiled. 

Nagtatype kasi ako ng email ko for Chris. Nasa California siya ngayon, nagaaral ng medicine.  Yup, he shifted his course after that incident.  He said that maybe that was his wake up call,  that maybe he is really for medical field. 

Seven years has been passed. Marami na ang lumipas na panahon at marami na talagang nangyari.  I graduated as a cum laude, then I passed the board exam and now I am a project engineer here in Santiago Construction Company. I work hard for this position,  nagsimula ako sa mababa.  Ayoko naman na kunin agad ang higher position na alam kong hindi ko kakayanin,  na I'm not enough. Kaya kahit si Tito Steve ang may ari nito, hindi ko yun inabuso.  Mas magandang pinaghihirapan ang nga bagay,  para mas masarap sa pakiramdam kapag nagbunga ang mga iyon.

Hindi naging madali sa akin ang pagtatrabaho,  lalo na't malayo ako kay mom.  I have a condo in Alabang wherein I live alone. Gusto nga ni tito na duon na ako tumira sa kanila but I want to be independent.  Yung mga pinsan ko ay may kaniya-kaniya na ring buhay. I'm not that updated about their lives even Chloe,  wala na rin akong masyadong balita sa kaniya. Siguro ganun talaga habang tumatanda, you usually prefer to be alone or to be lowkey.

My squad are also busy on their lives. We sometimes hangout,  pero hindi kami kumpleto.  Yen lives with her parents in New York after the issue happened five years ago. Ewan ko lang kung kailan siya babalik kasi hindi naman niya nakukwento sa amin. I usually hangout with Kiana talaga, sa amin naman talaga ay siya ang maraming time ngayon.  Trina, Ana, and Mich are also busy with their professions.

I stood up and walked towards a cabinet.  I pulled out a folder and grabbed the papers on the top of my table.  I studied this paper already,  it was a collaboration of Santiago Construction Company and JF's Construction Company in New York. May gagawin daw kasing isang malaking hotel dito sa Laguna. We haven't discussed that yet. Ang nakalagay lang naman sa paper ay yung company na makikipag collab sa amin at ang mga ideas about the hotel. 

I walked towards the conference room and greeted the people inside.

"So I was saying, this is a great opportunity for us. "

"Kilala sa buong pilipinas ang magpapagawa ng hotel,  if we do this perfectly, magiging kilala din tayo rito. "

Napalunok naman ako sa mga naririnig kong suggestions about this.  I am the project engineer for this, although alam ko namang tutulungan ako ng ka-collab namin.  Siyempre nakakapressure pa rin,  this is one of my greatest project as an engineer. Pangarap 'to ng mga inhinyero. 

"How about you Engineer Mendoza?  What are your thoughts about this project? "

Napatingin naman ako kay Tito Steve na ngayon ay nakatingin din sa akin ng diretso. 

"Well,  it is true that this project is a great opportunity for us,  but of course hindi lang naman tayo ang gagawa rito. Kailangan pa rin natin makasigurado sa JF's Company na iisa ang goal natin,  which is to provide the needs of the client,  to make them satisfied. "
