Hello guys am back

Linda's POV

Ivy grabbed my arm and started walking downstairs while the other guy who yet I don't know his name followed is behind.
His presence behind me made my mind my to swirl around.

Was he checking me out?

Or was he cursing the fact that someone like me was his mate?

I didn't know which one in particular he was doing all I heard from him were murmurs and sometimes low growls.
I shoved those thoughts behind me and started concentrating on what Ivy was saying.

"Hey Linda, would you like come with us today?" She asked and I froze just staring at her.
"Don't get worried if you don't want to for now you can come with us tomorrow" she said still smiling and I turned to look at the guy behind to check if he would say something.
I expected a harsh tone saying 'you must come with us whether you like it or not' but instead he just smiled.
I was a bit confused because of the stories I heard about Alpha Kings altho I never thought we had one.
They were said to be hot tempered and killed without Mercy. They didn't tolerate someone kicking them in the ass.
I heard so many dreadful storing about them and I never wished to be in the sight of one.

Many girls in my old pack dreamt of always having an Alpha King as a mate even if he was the devil himself and I sighed whenever I heard that.
I turned back to Ivy and smiled and she continued talking and pulling me to the ground floor.
"I would love you to see our garden, it's beautiful and it's my dumb brother here who designed it" Ivy said and the guy just groaned which made Ivy to tell her eyes and I chuckled.
"Is this how you guys fight each other?" I asked and I just realized the kind of statement I made and I used my hand to cover my mouth.
"No need for that, no one would hurt you especially my brother. He won't even dare" Ivy said and winked at her brother.

In my former pack you weren't allowed to ask about things which concerned the other party unless given the permit to. And right now I just defiled that rule and I don't know how the Alpha guy would be taking it. He might be saying I am so I'll mannered right now in his mind because he didn't say a word since I and Ivy started going down stairs.

Speaking of Ivy i was really enjoying her discuss although all I did was nod and smile, she had different stuff's to talk about and I felt like she could talk a whole day without stopping and getting tired.
"Hey do you love teddy bear?" She asked and I shoke my head.
"I never had one" I replied and her smile faded.
Yeah. I saw Taylor's sister with one that's she even gave it a name but I never had one.
"Why, no need to worry anyway" she said as her smile came back again and I nodded.
"I have many of them at home" she replied and I nodded again.

I felt stupid as she did all the talking and all i did was to nod, I knew if I was in her shoes I would be fed up and leave me behind. The thing was that I didn't know I this Alpha guy liked me or not and I didnt want to anger someone like him unless my escape from Taylor would end in death.

I sighed as we reached the dining room and everyone was already seated and as soon as we walked in the all stood up and bowed. To be frank I felt so uncomfortable and the Alpha guy just nodded and everyone sat down.
My normal spot in the dining room was always beside Maddox but Ivy ended up dragging me towards the head of the table. I stopped and looked at her afraid to turn her down.
"Sorry my seat is over there" I whispered as I pointed over tho the empty seat beside Maddox.
"Nope you are royalty now, so your seat would be there" she said enough for the whole room to hear as she pointed towards the seat ahead of me.
I nodded and followed her and then sat down beside the Alpha guy and then opposite Ivy.

The guy kept staring at me and I was unable and to even eat properly. I dropped my spoon down and stared at my plate as I was unable to be comfortable beside this guy. Then Maddox broke the silence.
"Everyone welcome our Alpha King Aiden Mac Veigh" he said as he stood up and bowed.
"Thanks for the warm welcome" the Aloha guy who I now knew as Aiden spoke.
His voice wasn't that loud but it spoke power. The type that would turn a guy to help s knees.

Through the introduction distraction I was able to eat and then think properly as no one was talking about me. Untill....
"But it seemed like him s coming her brought him luck as he finally found his mate" Olivia said with a big smile on her face.
I abruptly snapped my face to Aiden to see his reaction and he was smiling. I turned it back to Olivia who winked at me.

We finally finish dinner and were now in the sitting room discussing. I and Ivy were talked about colours while Aiden, Maddox and Maddox's father were discussing pack businesses. I didn't seem to notice when Oliver left the room.
"Hey make sure you don't hurt my babies sis" Maddox said and I turned to their direction to notice that I was the subject of the discussion.
"No worries Max, he wont" Ivy replied
"Just making sure" Maddox said.
"I won't hurt my mate Max" Aiden hissed and I just realized this was the first time he spoke in a long time.

His voice was broad but calm, he didn't seem to speak in the usual Alpha manner he did in the dining room. I was still in my trance when I was snapping out of it by Maddox.
"Linda your do you feel you know with your new mate" he asked and I froze.
I didn't know what to say or do right now and I breathed out.
"She's doing fine Max" Ivy said as she winked at me. I sighed as she came to my rescue and I smiled back at her.
"Really" Max asked looked at me this time and I nodded.

Suddenly Aiden grabbed my arm in a calm manner in order not to hurt me and then walked me out of the room and then to an empty hallway.
"I know you must be angry about that Emily girl" he said and trialed off.
To be honest I forget she existed and didn't even think about her.
"No no don't get me wrong I am not angry about her" I replied.
I said that with almost all the courage I had in me knowing that keeping mute would anger the man in front of me.
"Then why aren't they speaking?" He asked.
"I am not meant to speak untill am told to"
"What, who told you that?" He asked with a farrowed eyebrow.
"I was thought so" i replied.
"You are my mate for chrisake" he huffed and I narrowed my eyes to him.
"I am sorry if i wronged you" I replied looked downward
"No you didn't do anything wrong, gid what's wrong with me?" He said and patted his forehead.
"I am sorry if I am Makin you uncomfortable, I know you don't want me to be your mate or something but give me a chance please" he whispered and I just glared at him.

Is a whole Alpha King begging me??

I sighed and then looked at him in the eye. He had sparkling blue eyes which I liked because my favorite color is blue.
"It's not that I don't want a mate, but I was more shocked when it was an Alpha King, I was told that I wasn't destined to have a mate" I sighed as I remembered Taylor words.
"I know you wanted a rich girl or an Alpha's daughters..." I trailed off
"No dont talk like that, I liked you since I set my eyes on you, I don't need any rich girl. I am rich and don't want more wealth either" he said holding my hands and I signed.
"I don't have parents Alpha, would your parents like to have someone like me?" I whispered and wasn't aware that a tear slipped my eyes and then he is his thumb to wipe it off.
"I don't care" he whispered and hugged me

For the first time I felt like I was finally and truly loved by someone and that I had someone who would always have my back.
"Please dont reject me" he whispered on my nerves as we were still hugging.
"I won't, Eve if you are going to kill me I just have to be with my mate" I replied
"You won't regret it" he said breaking the hug.
"I am sorry for how uncomfortable you are now"
"No worries" I replied
I don't know why but I was feeling calm to be with him.
"I am not good at knowing how to start a discussion, I am so sorry" he huffed and I giggled.
"For your information I am a talkative" I said smiling
"I didn't know someone like my sister existed" she teased and we both laughed.
