Linda's POV

"You wanted Aiden all along, didn't you?"

I couldn't believe what I was hearing, did Stacy just try to kill me because of my mate. I looked at Aiden who was sitting down on the sofa and digging his hands into his hair every now and then. Everyone was shocked to the core because of what she said.

"So you tried to kill Linda because of my brother?" Ivy snickered.

"Of course" Stacy said as she smiled again and then turned her gaze to me.

"You always stole the spotlight since you came to my pack, everybody thought that you were my sister and before you knew it, the whole pack knew about you in just three days.. Maddox even wanted a slut like you to become his mate..." Before she could continue a deep growl was head in the room and Aiden rushed towards her and held her neck as he did not care if his hands were burning due to the effect of the silver chains.

Unlike me, I just stood there and was shocked about what Stacy just altered. She was jealous of me that's why she wanted to kill me? I took the spotlight that's why I was almost killed?
It didn't even make matters better because it only made me think about Taylor.. I was imprisoned in my original pack because of this same jealousy..

"First and foremost, watch the way you refer or rather talk to my mate. Secondly, I don't want you to ever bring Maddox's name..." Before he could finish I ran to him and slowly pushed him away.

"Aiden, stop" I said as I still tried to make distance between them because I could see that the blood in Stacy's face was draining away due to the way he was straggling her but he still kept holding her as his eyes was glowing yellow.

I finally hugged him from behind and he froze.
"Aiden please stop, you will end up killing Maddox's sister" but as if when the word Maddox slipped out of my lips, he tensed again and I sighed.
"Aiden please" I pleased and he released her has he moved backwards. His eyes were still yellow. It was then that I noticed that his hands had a slight burn but as I tried walkie towards him he raised up his hands.

"Don't come close to me" he said. I don't know what happened but I felt like a needle pierced my heart.

"Aiden your hand" I said as I took a step forward.

"I said don't come close to me!" He growled.

"Aiden, so you totally forgot about me?" Stacy said and I froze.

This girl still had the guts to talk..

Aiden glared at her and decided to turn and leave.

"So you almost killed me because of this low life wanderer, you never dared to hurt me before, you always cared for me but now you almost killed me because of this trashy slut, this low life, this..
" Before she could finish Aiden turned around.

This time I was actually scared for Stacy and I knew that if I got in the way, Aiden will just fling me away. He was shaking due to anger and his eyes were now bright yellow.

Haaa, Stacy is dead meat..

"Aiden !" I called but he didn't listen to me. As he just kept walking forward.

Suddenly his guards came to hold him back.

"Stacy, didn't I just warn you?" He said lowly.. those words made Stacy's face to turn instantly pale.
I noticed that his claws were already on the surface and as he talked, his canines were visible.
