Linda's POV.

I tried opening my eyes but it seemed too heavy for me. I could hear voices In the background but I couldn't decipher who had it.

I tried opening my eyes again and then a blinding white light came blocking me out once more. I internally groaned and then decided to just stay limb for some time, maybe gathering strength to open my eyes again.

My eyes felt like the only thing I could control right now because almost all my body went limb and I couldn't even move my hands. They were limb didn't stop the pain from coming because the cut from Stacy on my thighs still hurt. Badly hurts.

I couldn't still believe that Stacy, of all people would put me in this kind of situation. I internally laughed.

She tried to kill you, dummy.

That was my wolf Anna. I pushed her aside almost immediately. Of all times to speak to me was now. She hadn't talked to me since I came to Maddox's pack and now she came only to insult me.

I sighed and tried opening my eyes again, I the white light was still there and I still pushed forward trying to pop my my damn eyes open.
When I finally did it I sighed and just then Aiden ran to me.

He had scattered hair unlike the styled hair I saw this evening--- wait, this evening??
I turned to the window behind him and I saw we weren't in the dark but in broad daylight.
Actually meaning that i had been away for more than just some hours.

"Good morning beautiful" Aiden greeted and only smiled at him not really having the strength to talk.

Would he understand or he would get annoyed.

I asked myself and I knew in some seconds later I would get my answer. Anyway, he was Alpha King so I won't expect him to be nice to me.
"You dont need to talk, I can see you are hungry so I would go fetch you something" he said and stood up.

As he stood up I noticed he was still in the clothes of which he came to the pack house that evening and I sighed.

Was he here all the time, all because of me or his sister??

I thought and I shove it backwards.
Sure, it would be because of his sister, I am kinda like a rag that he just choose to bear with because I think Emily is giving him a headache.
I huffed and then tried to sit up when Ivy came running into the room and then followed by Max.

"Linda!!! Am so glad that you are awake" Ivy said and hugged me tightly. I broke the hug and stared towards them.
"I miss your talks Ivy" I managed to say and then she laughed so hard that I could swear that the Alpha heard her.
"Linda how are you doing?" Max asked as he say beside me and I nodded.
"Better than before but I still feel the pain on my thighs" I replied as i placed my hand on the site of the pain.
"Don't worry Linda, Aiden has taken care of the job" Ivy said with so much pride and I narrowed my eyes to her

"What do mean, Aiden had done the job??" I asked
"No need, you need to rest now" she replied and just then Aiden stepped in.
"Hey, I told you that you need to rest" he said groaning
"No worries I think am okay"
"I brought you pancakes and bacon" he said as he pulled the rollable night stand closer to me.
"Thanks" I whispered

"For what??" He asked looking blank.
"Eeem....you know for helping me and.." he interrupted
"Shuush, just eat" he whispered and smiled.

Maybe he is not that bad after all.

When I was done an Omega walked in and took the plates out.
I decided to talk about Stacy. I knew she almost killed me, but I was still concerned. The problem was why she did what she did.
"Alpha??" I called and he snapped his gaze from his phone to me.
"Don't call me Alpha" he said and I raised my eyebrow
"Why??"
"You are my mate, we are equals" he replied and I just remembered that this mate stuff was still going on.
"Oooh.."
"Yeah, so what's wrong??" He asked
"What about Stacy??" I asked and I could see the smile on his face slowly turning to a frown.
"Why would you want to know about her?" He asked
"She is my friend" i snapped at his sudden response

He murmured something under his breath and then faced me again.
"She is in a room locked up" he replied
"What!!! What is she doing being locked up?" I asked suddenly sitting up again and then I winced due to the pain on my thigh.
"I told you to calm down!!" He whisper yelled as he stood up and calmly pushed me down.
"I can take care and myself" I replied sitting up again.
"I don't want you tearing up your stitches again" he said calmly and I sighed and laid back down.
"Why is she locked up???" I asked again
"She tried to kill you, don't you remember??"
"I know but she might have not done it on purpose" i whispered not really sure if she did it on purpose or not.
"Why would she almost tear you into pieces and knock out my sister unconscious if it weren't on purpose" he snapped as he emphasized on my part.
"She must have been drunk or something" I said trying to justify her.

She tried to kill us dummy'

'Anna what if she had a reason?'

'And so what??'

I sighed and blocked her out as I faced the guy beside me.
"The last time I remembered, alcohol doesn't have effect on werewolves"

Shit....

He was right.

Then why did she do that!??

I sighed.
"I have planned that you would come with me immediately after your discharge" he said going back to his phone.
"What!!!!" I yelled and I sat up again.
"Princess I just want your safety" he replied
"I can't just go with you, i dont even know you" I snapped

This guy can't come into my life to come and dictate it for me. I escaping from Taylor in order to have a free life and then this guy would come here and tell me what to do?? Naaa it won't work

"We can get to know each other" he said as he stood up and held my shoulders.
"I can do that here" I whispered.
"Nope, never. Not with that blood sucker in this house" he yelled and I flinched and moved backwards.

He is just the same as the others, how could he command me on what goes with my life.

He is just like Taylor.

"No no no, Princess don't be scared of me, I just want your safety" he said
"Please, I just want to stay with people who loves me" I whispered.
"My family would love you"
"They won't, I am a nobody Alpha" I said and sighed.
"Linda i thought we talked about this, I don't care what financial class you are in, I want you as a mate" he snapped but I didn't flinch, I was actually too depressed to think about it.

"You think your mum would want me after she betrothed you to someone??" I asked but didn't look at him. I could tell he was pissed by my nagging.
"She only did that because she thought I didn't have a mate"
I sighed and looked at him, he looked so worried and at the same time angry.
"I don't know" i whispered
"I could allow you to stay tho" he said and I snapped my gaze to him.
"Really???"
"Yeah, but that bitch would remain locked" he snapped but smiled
"But we don't know what she did"
"We could interrogate her" he replied and I smiled. At least I could know her purpose of murdering me, almost anyway.

So am done with this chapter.
