Linda's POV

"What!!" I exclaimed as i gaped at her abd she sighed

"I knew you would react this way" she said again and I sat down on the stool in the kitchen

"What are they going to say about me?" I asked as he looked at her with fear.

I self esteem had been destroyed when Maddox did what he did to me and now I didn't know if I would have the courage to stand in front of the general council

"C'mon, Aiden would be there with you. You have nothing to be scared about" she said as she patted my shoulder.

"An Alpha ¶ueen is not meant to be hiding behind the shadows of her mate Ivy" I said and she knelt down in front of me.

"I know, you just have to believe in yourself Linda"

"C'mon Ivy, I can't face those people, I have been in Maddox's pack and i couldn't do anything to stop him. I was helpless" I snapped

"Then you are lying to yourself"

I froze as I slowly turned and saw the owner of the voice that has just spoken.

I couldn't believe my eyes. She stood by the entrance if the kitchen as she smiled at me.

"Stacy?" I called out and she nodded

"What in the hell are you doing here!?" Ivy snapped and the memories of what she did started coming back.

"Sorry for intruding but I wanted to talk to both of you" she said as she stepped into the kitchen but Ivy walked and stood in front of me

"Don't come any closer, did you forget that you tried to kill us??!!" Ivy snapped

"That's the reason I am here, I came to apologise" Stacy said and I pushed Ivy aside.

"Don't go close to her, she might be tricking you" Ivy whispered to me but I knew Stacy.

I knew something was wrong when she said she wanted to kill me because she had a crush on Aiden. I knew she might be right though but apart from when Aiden was coming to visit us. It was like he never existed in her life.

She never mentioned him.

"Who forced you to do that?" I asked and She looked at me with sympathy

"What do you mean by who forced her, she decided to  you on her own!" Ivy snapped but my eyes were still on Stacy

"It was Maddox" she replied and I nodded

He was the only one who could have done it.

"I don't get what's going on here?" Ivy snapped and I turned to her.

"Maddox forced her to do so" I replied and Ivy gaped at me

"Linda, how could you believe her so easily?" Ivy said as she stepped away from me

"No, I know her very well. When she did it, I couldn't believe it too. Ivy, Stacy never mentioned Aiden to me before only untill we heard he was coming to see us" I said and Ivy snorted

"I don't trust anything she says, she came back because Maddox is dead and she would be homeless" Ivy spat and I became silent.

She also had a point, if she agreed to help Maddox then she finally came back because she had no where to go anymore.

"I knew that is what you would think" Stacy said from nowhere and I turned to her

"Don't you wonder why I have been set free and not killed? Ivy I am sure you know that if anyone tried to touch Linda's hair, that person would be dead meat" Stacy said as she folded her arms and I was confused

Who was I to believe now?

"It was because I helped him bring down my brother and my father" she said and I froze. Ivy too must have been shocked.

"You what?!" I asked

"I didn't come here to ask that I should stay with you, all I asked was that he wanted to kill one of my friends is I didn't do it. The aim was that I should only hurt you and not to kill you because he found out that you were his mate and he knew that Aiden would insist on taking you against your will to his pack. Maddox would have killed my friends. I didn't plan on killing you so I agreed to do it since you won't die in the process" she said as she wiped the tears falling from her eyes and I sighed

"Why didn't you tell us the truth when you were captured" Ivy asked and Stacy looked at her

"Because I knew that Maddox would know that I had leaked the truth. When he finds out that I was meant to be locked up somewhere in here but I am enjoying some benefits then he would find out that I had betrayed him" she said and I walked up to her.

"I am sorry for not believing you" I said as I hugged her

"I knew something was off when you attacked me that night" I said and she hugged me back

"I didn't want it to be this way, I am sorry Ivy" she apologized as she turned to Ivy and she hugged her too

"If I had a crush on Aiden, I would have told Ivy a long time ago and the second reason I didn't want to still out the truth yet was because I wanted Maddox's plan to fail"

"To fail?" Ivy asked and she nodded

"By lying that way, Linda was able to feel the way Aiden always wanted her to be safe, Maddox's plan was for you to come here and hate Aiden the more" she said and I nodded

"Yeah, he told me" I murmured and Ivy turned to me

"He did that?"

"Yes, at first, I didn't like the fact that he dragged me here so I think Maddox wanted to see to it that I hated him" I replied and Ivy sighed

"Thank you" I said to Stacy and hugged her again and she hugged me back

"I am sorry for what happened to Maddox and you father" Ivy stated and I nodded too

"No problem, I helped to ensure that they were killed"

"C'mon let's sit down" I said as we all walked to the table in the middle of the kitchen

"Linda, I really admire you" Stacy said and I turned to her with confusion

"Why?"

"After everything that happened to you, you are still standing strong and you just forgave me for what I did, I know you are going to be a great Alpha ¶ueen" she said as she held my hands and I smiled and nodded

I had to do this if I wanted to show the world how strong I am

I didn't want to see myself as weak anymore.

"I am ready to meet the council" I stated.
