"Good morning, Mira. Can you please tell me how many rooms are available today? And for the rest of the week, too, please," wika ko.
Katulad ng Lighthouse, Chamantad-Tinyan View Point, any many more.
"Miss Luna, rooms located on the first floor are all vacant now. Rooms 9, 12, 13, and 14 will be free today din, po. The rest will be free this coming Friday to Sunday."
"Okay, thank you. Kindly alert me for incoming check-ins, please. At kung ilang room ang mao-occupy."
"Yes, Miss Luna."
"Good morning, Mommy," bati ko.
"Good morning, hija. I didn't expect you to call this soon?"
"Hmm," tinagilid ko ang ulo ko. "Tungkol sa pagbabakasyon niyo rito, 'My."
"What about it?" I heard the utensils against plates. They're probably having their breakfast now, too.
"Sino-sino po kayong pupunta rito? All the rooms will be available by Sunday. Should I book you a room now?"
"Ah!" she said. "Well, the whole family will be coming. Oh! The kids will love there, hija! They're fond of beaches!"
"The whole family?"
"Yes, hija. I think all of us will be taking a vacation."
"Who'll be in-charge of the companies, then? Iiwan ninyo pong lahat?" takang tanong ko. Lahat sila, pupunta rito? Bakit naman ata... unusual?
"Well, they said they can work from there, if it's necessary. Besides, taking a break would be nice. Work's stresses out all of us!" aniya.
"Should I invite your friends, too? Oh! That would be fun, hija!" I can almost hear her clap due to intense happiness. I sighed.
"I'll give them a call, Mommy.
They've been dying to see you already! They'd drop everything to go where you are," agap ni Mommy. Why is she in a hurry to get me reconnected with everyone else?
I sighed. "I'll give them a call, Mommy. Calm down."
"Alright," she paused.
"You're rooms will be reserved by Sunday. Kailan niyo po balak pumunta dito? I can have the yacht get you all from Batanes Pier."
Marami pa kaming pinag-usapan ni Mommy. Ang sabi niya, they'll probably fly by Sunday. So depending on their flight, baka Sunday or Monday, narito na sila.
To my surprise, they all said yes. Kahit si Rafael!
So kung bibilangin, seven rooms ang kailangang ireserve. Five for my family, two for my friends.
