There was something though.

Something small.

Something insignificant.

Something he tried desperately to ignore.

The one thing that made Seokjin different than anyone else.

And he could try to deny it all he wanted.

Could try not to think of it.

Could try and beat it down and back.

Could forget about it.

Could fight it.

But there was something.

There was something and nothing was going to change it.

Because the thing about Seokjin, the thing that made it impossible to leave him alone.

Was the way he made him feel.

Was the way he made his heart come alive.

Was the way he made him want to be better.

Was the way his smile made his heart race.

Was the way holding him in his arms felt so incredibly right.

Was the way he said his name.

Was the way he pulled him in close, like he was the only one who meant anything.

Was the way he just was.

There was nothing special about Seokjin.

Because everything was special about Seokjin.

And if he was capable of love.

And he was still entirely convinced that he wasn't.

And that he was never going to be.

And that this definitely was not that.

Then Seokjin would be the one he loved.

Completely.

Entirely.

Unconditionally.

With all of his heart until the end of time.

He loved Seokjin.

His heart knew it.

His brain just hadn't quite caught up yet.

And it was his brain that was dangerous.

It was his brain that was going to break that which was most precious to him.

Into a thousand tiny pieces that could never be put back together.

He loved Seokjin.

But his love was an infection.

And it was going to eat away at the other until it ruined him.
