"Okay, super successful trip." They had linked arms again, walking back towards where they had parked, bags swinging in their free hands. "But for real I gotta stop spending all of my tips in one place."

"Please, you make more than all of us combined." It wasn't that Hoseok was any better at the job than they were. It was his disposition. He was an actual embodiment of the sun and it drew everyone towards him. The fact that he could turn on the fun flirtation so incredibly easy helped.

"Uh, excuse me? I know for a fact I heard someone tip you on Friday based on that face alone."

"Okay, maybe but - shit!" There arms were still connected, and Seokjin tightened his one, muscles flexing as he used it and the weight of his own body to force Hoseok to move, to slip behind one of the tall pillars near by.

"Yah! What's gotten into you?" Between the force of Seokjin's pulling and not wanting to give it to the way gravity was currently trying to make him fall on his face, Hoseok ended up trotting along behind him, going where ever he was bidden.

"Shush." Peaking around the edge of the pillar, he realized his view was obstructed. Leaning over, he set his bags down on the floor, before pointing at them as he gave instructions. "Look, I'll explain later. Right now just stay here and watch these for me, okay?"

"Oh this better be good." He barely even waited for the confirmation before slipping out from behind the little hiding spot, ducking down and practically crawling forward, grateful for his own flexibility. There was a large planter fill of fake brushes near by, and he chose one, sliding behind it and dropping his weight down onto the balls of his feet. He could just barely make out the scene through the bright green leafs. But more importantly, he could hear everything perfectly.

"You're making this way harder than it has to be."

"I think I deserve an explanation."

"I already gave you one."

"And I gave you five years. Doesn't that mean anything?"

"Not anymore."

"Why? Because of some whore you met at a party? Really, Jungkook? Does he even know how many times this has happened before?"

"None of that matters anymore."

"You really believe that, don't you? That none of it is ever going to come back and bite you in the ass. Tell me, how would he feel if he knew all of the things you had done?"

"Why are you doing this, Jimin?"

"Because I just want to know why, Jungkook."

"Why? What is the reason? How is knowing going to help you in anyway? What is your actual end game here?"

"Because what we had was just fine, Jungkook. For five years. And then you met him and suddenly it's not enough anymore."

"People change."

"You don't."

"You want to know the reason? I don't fucking love you, Jimin. I never have and I never will. You want to know why I never said it back? Because I didn't feel it. Not once. In five years, I never felt it. You want to know why I kept cheating on you? Because why be faithful to something you don't love."

"You haven't been faithful to him either."

"He knows I was with you."

"Does he know everything else?"

"Are you done?"

"I just wanted you to choose me."

"That was never going to happen. All you ever were, Jimin, is a convenience."

"I hate you."

"Nice try. But we both know you don't. You're going to love me until the day you die. You're going to spend all of that time knowing I never once loved you back. But that I loved him enough to change."

There was someone pulling on him. Tugging on the back of his sweater and he turned just in time to see Taehyung frantically trying to get him away. His attention went back to the sight in front of him, just for a second. Just long enough to watch as Jimin broke down in tears before Taehyung literally lifted him out of his spot and he had no choice other than to follow where he led.

"You shouldn't be here." The other's voice was a low mummer, and he felt it more than heard it. There was a little off shoot corridor, used mostly for employees, and he let himself be taken there, slipping into the shadows where they would be difficult.

"What was that about?" All of it had been so much. So much and so confusing and he was left with entirely too many questions that he didn't think had any answers.

"Look, I know this is gonna be hard for you, but you have to forget about what you just heard."

"Why?" None of it made any sense, no matter what context he tried to put it into.

"Just listen to me, Seokjin. I want you to turn around and walk away and pretend you never heard any of this."

"But -"

"Jungkook will handle Jimin. Trust me, okay?" Glancing over his shoulder, as if he could somehow see the scene that was probably still playing out from where he was, he let his head fall back against the wall he was currently leaning against.

"Okay." This was a terrible idea. He knew it was a terrible idea. And that feeling was going to stick with him no matter how much he tried to shake it off.

"Good. Now you're gonna go out this door and I'm gonna go tell your friend to meet you at the car."

"Okay." He was never anything but obedient. It really didn't matter who was giving the orders anymore.

"Good. I'll call you later, okay Jinnie?" And just like that Taehyung was gone, slipping back into the light while he was left there alone in the shadows.

With far more questions that he had ever imagined having.
