...
"What are you doing tomorrow babe?" They were settled onto the sofa, half finished plates of food covering the low table before them.
"Me and Hoseok usually go shopping, but I can cancel." Even if they had been excited talking about all of the stores they were going to visit. All of the ideas they were already forming about what this apparently wedding should be. "Why?"
"I wanted to show you something." That voice was so soft, like a liquid warmth that flowed over him, until all he could do was agree, was submit, go along with whatever this man wanted.
"I would love that." Any moment that he got to spend in Jungkook's presence was one he would take. Because despite the fact that they had spent every single night together since that moment those three little words had first been spoken, it never felt like it was enough.
"I have to go to the store in the morning, but I'll be back around one. Be ready for me?" It was almost embarrassing, the way a shiver ran down the length of his spine at those words. Because all could think of was how ready he was for something else.
"I'm ready for you now, daddy." He was trying, and he thought back to the conversation he'd had with Hoseok that afternoon. Wondered if maybe he should ask if there were some ways to keep himself from giving in quite so easily. Because he found himself falling into that headspace without even meaning to.
"Baby." It was a gentle response, the endearment spoken on a harsh exhale. "Daddy would love nothing more than to play with you. But I'm so tired." But the day had been so long. There had been a large delivery in preparation for a wedding they had been contracted for. Followed by personally handling far more arrangements than he could even count. And as much as he hated to admit it, his feet and back ached. "I just want to hold you."
"It's okay, daddy." Suddenly, a though sparked within his mind, and he leaned in, pressed those full lips against the warmth of a cheek, whispering against the skin. "Stay here, alright?"
"Don't stay away too long." He wondered then how he hadn't heard it before. The weakness contained within that voice. Wondered how many times it had been there and he had just missed it. Suddenly felt overwhelming guilt for how much Jungkook had always given him, for how little he had given back.
Pressed one more kiss against those beautiful lips before pushing himself up. Went into the bathroom and turned on the hot water, adjusting it until it was the perfect temperature. Dug through his collection of bath bombs and found one that smelled earthy and warm. Waited until the tub was almost filled before dropping it in, smiling at the way the colors began to swirl, dark blue and deep black transforming the water until it was almost murky. Felt the steam seep into his own muscles, forcing them to relax. Slipped out of the tiny room to find Jungkook exactly where he had left him, reclining back as far as he could, head resting against the wall with his eyes closed.
"Follow me." Crooked fingers found equally long ones, fitted between them and tightened, used the connection to tug, watching as those eyes slipped open and the other sighed. Waited for him to follow the directions given, practically felt the way exhaustion seemed to radiate from his body. Drew the tired form across the small space, nudging the door open and letting the other enter first.
"What's this baby?" Admittedly the warmth radiating from the heated water was enticing, calling out to him and the sore stiffness that had settled over his entire being.
"Me taking care of you." How many times had Jungkook done this for him? And maybe he wasn't strong enough to pick him up and carry him around, but he could alleviate the burden in other ways. Let his fingers go to the tiny buttons of the shirt he wore, undoing them carefully, until it hung loose and he could nudge it off wide shoulders. Went to the buckle of the belt and the jeans he wore, undoing them with as much gentleness, before slipping them down, thumbs hooking inside the fabric of the boxers that lay beneath as well, letting them fall together. Until all that Jungkook had to do was simply step out of them.
"You don't have to." And admittedly, there was very large portions of him that didn't like it. That didn't want to be taken care of. Because there was nothing about him that was deserving of that level of care. Because he had never done anything to earn it.
"I want to. Let me help you relax, daddy." Those hands smoothed across his chest, catching on rigid muscles, nails scraping lightly across the skin. "You rest while I go clean up, okay? I'll bring you some clothes."
"Okay." Because admittedly he had been entirely ready to just strip down to his boxers and climb into bed and pass out face down for the next eight hours. "Thank you baby."
"Anything for you." Those words were given with a smile, and they made something within his chest tighten. Made something ache. And he realized it was from the force of the love he had for this one man. From the force of the emotion that kept expanding with no where to go.
The water felt like heaven, heated perfectly as he sank down into it. Felt it seep into sore muscles, felt them practically give out as he settled. Leaned back and simply breathed in, enjoyed the musky scent that filled the air. Closed his eyes and allowed himself to relax. Stayed there for so long that he barely noticed the sounds happening in the rest of the apartment. Barely realized that the door was being opened and suddenly there was a soft cloth being moved across his skin, soapy subs and slightly cooled water being poured across his body. Until those hands were gently stroking across his forehead and those dark eyes were slipping open and he realized that Seokjin was washing his hair, touch so light and gentle that he could barely even feel it.
And he knew in that moment that he did not deserve this beautiful, precious gift that he had been given. Wondered who he had stolen this amazing soul from, because surely he had been intended for someone else. Sighed in pleasure as nails scraped across his scalp, as finger tips massaged, working in soap and then conditioner. Sat up just enough so Seokjin could reach the back. Rinsed it out well and only stopped once the water turned cold.
Really, he almost wanted to fall asleep right there. Practically did. But he felt himself being tugged up, and laughed at the fact that Seokjin was barely even capable of moving him. Lifted himself out of the tub and smiled as the soft cotton of a towel moved across his body, drying off the stray droplets of water. Ran through his hair and left it still damp. Handed him a pair of boxers and pajama pants and waited until he had stepped into both. It was only then that he realized his pretty baby had changed into one of his shirts, so large that it hung from his frame, practically hitting his knees. Part of him wondered what he wore underneath, and he couldn't stop his hands from wandering. From reaching for the hem and lifting it up just enough to catch sight of those black cotton boy cut shorts his baby seemed so fond of.
"Such a naughty baby. Dressing up for me like this when you know I'm too tired to take you." And really, he almost considered finding the energy. It would be entirely worth it.
"Maybe I want to be ready for you in the morning." The tiny room was sent into pure darkness as the switch was flipped on the way out, as he was lead through the dimly light expanse to the bed. Lifted a leg and crawled up onto it, settling on the outer side just as he always did. Smiled as covers came up over him and whined as that hand tried pulling away. Tightened his own and tugged, until Seokjin had no choice but to come tumbling down on top of him, quickly scrambling to take his own place. "The television is still on."
"Leave it." It was a quiet, tired whisper, and he instantly shifted, rolled until he could wrap his arms around the other's form and draw him in. Buried his face into the crook of his neck and pressed his lips against the bruises he knew were there. "I like the noise."
"Like I have a choice." And he didn't. Because there was no way Jungkook was going to let him go.
Jungkook was never going to let him go.
"Love you, my Kookie." It was a soft whisper, spoken as he dropped a small kiss into that still damp hair.
"Love you too, Jinnie." And he realized something exceedingly important within that moment.
That he was never going to let Jungkook go either.
