Demi's pov

"Mom I'm taking Bella's car seat out of your car." Maya says.

I turn my head to see her standing by the front door, "Thats fine, are you leaving now?" I ask.

"Yeah, is that ok?" She asks.

"Yeah, just be careful Maya." Wilmer says.

"I will, I promise."

Isabella runs to me and I bend down to her level as she holds her arms out, "Be good for sissy ok? I love you babygirl." I say as I wrap my arms around her.

"I love you too momma. I promise I'll be good." She says.

I kiss her cheek before letting Wilmer give her a hug and smile as I watch her run back to Maya. Maya opens the door and lets Bell slip out before closing it behind her.

"Where are they going?" Emilio asks looking up from his bowl of spaghetti.

"Just drive around for a bit to get Bella out of the house for today." I say.

"Ahh, makes sense. I didn't think she'd take her to the park or store. Especially not without max or in general. It's Bella, we all know not to do that with her."

I watch the front door open and I watch Ava walk into the living room before she locks the door behind her, "Room." I warn.

She walks upstairs and I walk to her bedroom leaving Wilmer with Emilio in the kitchen. She sits on her bed and looks at me confused, "Why am I in trouble?"

"Where were you last night? Because it wasn't Kaycee's house." I say.

"I'm not lying, I was at kaycees house." She lies.

I shake my head, "I was not born yesterday Ava."

"Where do you think I was?" She questions.

"Your boyfriends."

"And if I was?" She asks.

"I know you where. It's not a what if. I know you were." I say.

"Well you wouldn't have let me stayed if I told you I was." She argues.

I let out a sigh as she looks down. I sit beside her and she looks at me nervously, "Ava I was a teenager once too and I know what you want to do and are doing. I'm not going to stop you or shame you for it. If you are ready to be intimate with someone, then ok. That's a decision only you can make. But I do think it's a good idea to talk about protection of that is what you're choosing to do." I say.

"I know, we are." She says.

"I'm not just talking about condoms. Those can break Ava. If this is what you're going to do I'd rather take you to the doctor and get you on birth control. Because I really don't want to see you pregnant anytime soon. There's no need to put yourself in that position when you can prevent it." I say.

"So I'm guessing papá already knows too?"

"Well, we've known for a while. But getting you to admit it was the issue. We haven't been able to get you to confess before now." I say.

"Well, it's not like I really thought you'd say it's fine and just say use protection. If I would've known that I would've been honest from the start." She mumbles.

"You really think I have much of a place tell you no when I had you and your sister when I was 18? I'm not your grandma, I understand it." I say.

"Do you regret it?" She asks.

"Not even for a moment. I love you and your sister more than life. You two are part of my world. I wouldn't have you two if I didn't do what I had then. I can't imagine my life without you both. But it wasn't easy and it put a lot of stress on your dad and I's relationship. I do not want to see you have to go through the same thing. Having a baby at your age is not easy." I say.
