Maya's pov

It's pain that wakes me up the next morning at 7 am. It's early, but I managed to get more sleep than I have in a while if I'm being completely honest. If I had to guess, Bailey had something to do with that.

"Good morning, do you need me to get you anything?" She asks.

"Pain meds?" I ask.

She nods getting up as carefully as she can but I bite the inside of my lip at the increasing pain. She isn't shifting my bed a lot, but the tiny amount of movement that my bed is making I definitely feel.

"Does your mom have them?" She asks.

Shit. I didn't even think about that. I'm so used to just having any medication I get in my room, but my parents had to pick it up themselves yesterday. So they have it, not me. Meaning that Bailey is going to have to go get it from them.

"It's not that important, I can wait."

"Maya, babe, I don't think you should wait. It's only going to get worse the longer it wears off. If you feel pain now, then you need it now." She says.

I know she's right, but I know how uncomfortable it'll be for her to just walk into my parent's room and ask for my pain medication. I don't want her to have to do that. I'd rather wait until one of them walk into my room and offer it to me. Just so Bailey doesn't have to go through that amount of uncomfortable.

"It's fine, I promise."

She shakes her head, "It's not, I'm going to go get it for you."

Before I can argue any further she walks out of my bedroom and I let out a soft sigh. I don't like this at all. Why couldn't she have just waited? I'm sure Ava would've been up soon enough, she could've asked mom or dad for it. I can't even imagine the full amount of uncomfortable she's about to be in.

Demi's pov

I feel a bit of stirring beside me and I look down to see Bella beginning to wake up. I push her hair out of her face and watch her roll over and hide her face in Wilmer's ribs, "Not quite ready to wake up." He comments with a small chuckle.

I hear a light knock and I turn my head to see Bailey at the door frame, "Watcha need kiddo?" I ask.

"Maya's pain meds."

I turn my head to Wilmer for an answer. I don't know where they are, I didn't bring them inside, he did. I didn't see where he put them up at either.

"In the kitchen."

"Aight." Bailey says.

"I'll get them, can you hang out in Ava's room for a bit while I give them to her?" I ask.

She furrows her eyebrows together and looks at me with a questioning look, "Uh, I guess?" She asks unsure.

"Thanks." I say.

"You're welcome?" She says in the form of a question as if she isn't sure how to actually reply.

I wait until I hear her upstairs before I turn my head and look at Wilmer, "I'm going to try and talk to her. I think it's best if we do it alone rather than do it together. I don't want her to feel intimidating and like she can't say anything because there's two of us and only one her. I think she might be more willing to talk if she doesn't feel like we are attacking her or jumping on her." I say.

"I understand, good luck." He says.

I'll need it.

I climb out of bed and walk to the kitchen and find Maya's medicine on the kitchen bar. I grab it and take a few steps to the fridge and grab a water from it. I then walk upstairs just as Bailey walks out of Maya's room and into Ava's bedroom.
