Demi's pov
When I get home with Maya, I see Ava's car missing which lets me know that she's off at Jacobs. So I'm assuming she's told her dad she's at a friends house, which is what I'm going to roll with.
"Are you feeling ok to walk upstairs or do you need your dad to help you?" I ask.
"I think I can do it." Maya says.
I nod and get out of my car and help her out of the car and to the front door. I unlock it and let Maya in first before locking the door behind me. I look at the stairs and watch Maya slowly walk up them. When I see her upstairs, I walk to the bedroom.
"Where's Bella?" I ask.
"She wanted to color in her room for a bit before bed. How was your day?" He asks.
"Good." I say.
"That's good, what'd you guys talk about?"
"A lot, but I think she changed her mind about college. Or at least her college ideas I should say"
He raises and eyebrow, "Want to explain?"
"She isn't ready to go to an out of state college yet and is scared to do so. We talked about a lot and she admitted she needs a lot of help and isn't ready to move when she knows she needs help. She says she want's to stay home. So I think she'll end up staying here for two years and then going to an out of state college and graduate at the college she really wants to." I say.
"Well I won't be disappointed if that becomes the new plan. I don't think she's ready Demi. I don't think either of them are, but I don't see us being able to convince Ava to stay home." He sighs.
"I don't think we'll have to. I don't see Ava doing anything that big without Maya. I just don't." I say.
I walk to the dresser and grab some pajamas before I walk to the bathroom, "I don't know, she seems pretty eager to move out Demi."
"Not so much anymore."
After I spent the day with Ava, it seemed like her own plans for college seemed a bit harder to follow through with as well. Ava didn't really know what she wanted anymore. It's easy to say you want something when you're hurt and upset, but I think both of them are finding it hard to really follow through with what they initially wanted. Something that doesn't upset me even the slightest.
I take a shower and then get changed. I then put my clothes into the hamper before walking back to the bed with Wilmer, "What do you mean not so much anymore?" He asks.
"She was questioning if she was ready or not and I think there's a chance she might stay home at least a year." I say.
"I know that I'd feel more comfortable that way." He says.
"Mhm, maybe you can spend next week with the both of them?" I ask.
"I've got to work practically all next week. We start shooting again next week." He says.
Well I wish he would've told me this before now. I always tell him my schedule for the month as soon as I know it and then continue to remind him of things as they approach. I hate when he just springs things on me like this.
"I wish you would've told me this before today." I say.
"It slipped my mind, I didn't find out too long ago."
"You should've told me the second you found out Wilmer. I always tell you my plans. I don't understand why that's so difficult for you to do." I say.
Before he has a chance to reply Bella walks into the bedroom and closes the door behind her. Meaning, I get the last word with Wilmer. Also meaning, we'll be going to bed early so that we don't argue in front of Bella and so she doesn't pick up on our tension.
Maya's pov
I get in bed beside Bailey and she smiles at me warmly, "How did it go?" She asks.
"I told my mom about us and she said you could still stay, but we wouldn't tell my dad about the relationship because he wouldn't be able to overlook the fact I'm in a relationship with you and sleeping with you. My mom approved of us though and didn't really seem to have a problem with things. Just said she was a bit surprised about it and wasn't expecting to hear it." I say.
"Did you have a good time or did that kinda of make it hard to have a good time?" She asks.
"No, we had a good time. A really good time, it was nice. I haven't really had a day like this in such a long time. It felt like before the twins and Bella were born in a way. It was really good." I say.
"Good, I'm glad you had a good time babe." She says.
"What did you do today?" I ask.
"Not too much of anything to be honest with you. Just kinda watched youtube and was lazy." She says.
"Hey being lazy is ok. We all need down time and time to relax you know." I say.
"I agree." She chuckles.
I rest my head on her chest and she wraps her arms around me, "So you're moms ok with me staying? As in for real?" She asks.
"Yeah she's ok with it. She doesn't really think we'll do anything and I didn't just straight up say that we were dating. I danced around the topic and asked how she'd feel if Jacob moved in and she got defensive saying it wouldn't happen with Bella's anxiety and the fact we have enough people in the house and she wasn't allowing another person. So I had to ask if she'd fear them having sex and when she passed that with no not really, I went ahead and told her." I say.
"Oof she should be, they fuck like rabbits."
I slap her playfully, "Leave them alone. They are happy, let them be."
She laughs beneath me, "I'm sure they are. They say sex can boost serotonin. With how often they do it, I'm sure there serotonin is so high."
"Bailey." I whine.
"Ok, ok. I'll behave and be good now." She laughs.
"Good." I say.
"I just have to tease your sister a little bit behind her back. If I did it to her face, I don't think I'd be breathing anymore." She says.
"I don't think you would be either quit honestly." I say.
One thing you don't mess with Ava about is her boyfriend. That is how you get her to go from 0 to 10 real quick. She isn't about to let you hate on her boyfriend or make fun of her boyfriend. Not that I blame her. I wouldn't be happy if someone talked bad about Bailey or made fun of something we do.
"But we still love her."
"Indeed we do." I say.
She's my sister, I'm stuck with her. Not that I mind it, I don't. I'm lucky to have a sister like her. I might have lost a bit of trust in her, but I know that she'll always have my back and for that, I'm grateful.
