Demi's pov

The vomiting for Maya didn't last for an hour, it lasted all night. It was hard to see her like that, it's always hard to see any of them like that. I hate seeing them sick and absolutely miserable. Ava and Bailey managed to keep her smiling and laughing though which was something Wilmer and I were unable to do.

It's now 7 am the next day and the doctors decided to change the pain meds after watching her struggle with nausea and vomiting. But it doesn't seem like they are doing their job. Maya appears to still be in so much pain.

"You know what makes me laugh?" Bailey asks.

"Watching little kids get hurt by doing stupid things?" Ava asks.

"Well yes, but no."

"Watching hate video's about 5sos?"

"Again, yes but no."

"Oh those make me laugh too. They really tried to be punk, but flopped. I blame them for the alternative and rock music turning to crap. It was good before they came into the scene. I love one direction, but I can't forgive them for giving 5sos a platform, I really can't." Maya says.

"Yeah same, but wow you two are terrible at guessing." Bailey says looking down at her phone.

"Ok, hint?" Maya asks.

"How about I just go ahead and tell you?" Bailey asks.

"Ok."

"Mr. Gonzales just got fired for being caught smoking a bowl in the teachers lounge." Bailey laughs.

Maya frowns as she looks at Bailey, "Aw but I kissed his ass all year to get an A for doing the absolute minimum." Ava sighs.

"I'll kinda miss him. I don't really know why, but I will. Maybe because I've had him for three years now and I like having a teacher I've had since freshman year. I mean he wasn't really that good, but I don't really like change and now I won't have any teachers that I've had since freshman year. Plus he did bring snacks for French class sometimes." Maya says.

"Easy for you two to say. The guy absolutely hated me and I didn't do anything other than correct him on how to say a few words in French. I didn't listen to my grandma scream at me for my entire life when I pronounce something wrong to see my French teacher misinform the entire class on how to say words in French."

"Yeah, the guy really didn't like you Bailey." Ava says.

"Yeah, I'm happy to see him go. Although I will miss laughing at him when he shows up to class higher than a kite."

"I always felt bad for him. I dunno, I think he uses weed to cope with all the things wrong in his life. I mean he can't see his kids because last year he got a divorce and his now ex-wife has custody of them. His mom died this year. Lots of things." Maya says.

Ava looks at her confused, "How do you know all of that?"

"Sometimes I get wayyyyyy to comfortable with some of my teachers and use them as therapists and as a result they try to relate to me by telling me problems of people they know. Mr. Gonzales came up in conversation quite a bit with a few teachers. Anywayyyy."

"I do the same thing! I stay after class not for tutoring, but free therapy." Bailey says.

"Yeah same. Mrs. Whitney just writes me passes to come to her class to finish assignments when actuality I'm actually in there coloring and talking about life during her conference period." Maya says.

"Wait Mrs. Whitney? The algebra teacher? My god she hated me." Ava mutters.

Bailey looks at her with her eyebrows raised, "I can only imagine why." She says sarcastically.
