Demi's pov
The past few day's have been nothing short of chaotic and hectic. Between Bella having her stomach virus and Maya's migraine lasting longer than usual and sending us all into a panic, it's been pretty emotionally draining.
Bella's finally bouncing back to normal and after multiple phone calls from doctors in regards to Maya, we finally got her to feeling better as well. It was stressful though, I'll admit that much. Very stressful.
"Mom?"
I turn my head to see Ava standing nervously at the door frame of the nursey, "Hmm?" I ask before looking back down at Max as I change his diaper.
"I know you're spending the day with Maya today and I was supposed to hang with Bailey, but Jacob just texted me and yeah..." Her voice trails off.
"Ok, so what's the plan?" I ask.
"Well." She says nervously.
I button Max's onesie before turning my head to her to see her more nervous than before, "You can tell me anything you know." I say.
She breaks the eye contact with me and looks at the floor, "I might stay the night with him if that's like ok."
I nod, "Ok, we had this conversation before everything that happened had happened to Maya. Protection better be used and if you don't have any, then tell me and I'll get some. I'd rather get you some than you try something you read on the internet that supposedly prevents it. We talked about birth control, if that's something you still want to do then I need to know so I can get you into the doctor."
"Yeah, it is. I just didn't want to bring the conversation up myself."
"Ok, I'll get you into the doctor then. Do you have anything for tonight?" I ask.
"I don't know if we're doing that. If we are then, we'll use protection. We always have."
"Ok, I trust you." I say.
"So you're saying ok?" She asks unsure.
"Mhm."
"Ok, I'll be back tomorrow morning." She says.
"Alright A."
She gives me a small smile before walking out of the nursery and I watch Maya walk into it, "Please tell me your activity plans don't consist of a lot of walking." She says.
"They don't."
"Good." She mumbles.
I set Max down in his crib before looking at Maya, "Are you ready?" I ask.
She gives a small nod and I walk with her to my car. I close the front door behind me and unlock my car. Maya gets into it herself and buckles her seatbelt as I start the car. I then buckle my seatbelt and back out of the driveway.
"You can play your music if you want." I say.
"I'm ok with the radio."
"Alright, how are you feeling?" I ask.
"Ok, I guess."
I see her look down at her palms as if to distract from me, "I'm happy you're feeling a bit better. Hopefully this new medication starts working for you." I say.
"Yeah, that'd be good."
"Anything on your mind? You seem a bit blunt today."
She shrugs, "I don't want things to change and I know if I told you this then they would. So I think it's best to not say anything."
