Demi's pov

Another month has ticked by slowly but Maya's made some progress with the help of physical therapy. It's exciting to see her slowly getting back to normal, I didn't think I'd get to see this months ago.

"Come on Maya, you're almost done, just a few more steps." Maya's physical therapist says.

Maya turns her head to me tiredly and it kills me to see her so tired and wanting to stop, but I understand that she's got to be pushed if I want to see her better. If I stop things and just tell them she's tired and to take it easy on her then she's not going to recover at the rate they want her to. I have to just trust them.

"You can do it." I say.

"I can't my legs are starting to go numb again." She whispers.

"Just a few more steps and they'll let you stop Maya." I encourage.

"Can I at least have a little help?" She asks.

I look to her physical therapist for the answer and she gives a small nod, "She's had a rough week and we've definitely pushed her to her limits. I want her for finish but you can stand beside her and walk with her the last few feet."

I get up from the chair and walk to Maya and put an arm around her and watch her struggle with a step forward, "Take your time, we're not in any rush." I say.

She doesn't take the advice and pushes herself harder to take the step forward. I walk at her pace and once she walks the last few feet and touches her physical therapists hand she turns to me and I hold her as she almost collapses.

"Good job Maya, you did amazing this week." Her physical therapist says.

"I don't feel amazing." I hear Maya mumble.

A doctor gets a wheel chair and let's Maya finally sit down and I put Maya's hair behind her ear as I look at her doctor, "Just keep up the physical therapy at home. She's doing really well and I don't want to stop anything she's been doing right now. Just because she's walking doesn't mean she doesn't need to do the small things anymore, she does. That's important too." She says.

"I'll be sure to make sure she continues them. We've got a bit of a schedule for things right now, so I'll continue that." I say.

"Good, a schedule is really good."

After some small talk about Maya's progress I'm finally allowed to leave with her. I help her into the car before getting into the car myself, "I don't feel good." She mumbles.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

She tosses her head back, "My legs feel really weird. Just like numb but not at the same time. Plus my heads starting to hurt and I just feel really tired."

"We'll we're on our way home now, I have some Tylenol with me if you want some." I say.

At this point, Tylenol is something we always keep on deck. Maya's eyes are sensitive to light and it does trigger migraines in the care. She also just will have random headaches as well. So it's almost a must to keep some in the car or in my purse because you never know when she'll need it.

"Please."

I unzip mu purse and pull out the tylenol and open it before putting 3 pills into my palm. I pass them to her and point to the water in the cup holder. Also something I've learned to do, bring a bottle of water in case she needs to take Tylenol.

She opens the water and washs the pills down before putting her head on the car door, "This stresses me out."

"What stresses you out?"
