I can feel the heat in my cheeks as Kairus massaged my hair gently with the shampoo. Kinagat ko ang pang-ibabang labi nang sulyapan siya. Nasa magkabilang gilid ko ang mga binti niya. He was serious while my fingers were playing with the tiny bubbles in the bathtub.

My hair was dry because he wiped it and blow-dried it. The comfort of his bed made me melt easily.

I had a hard time sleeping for the past years, but now that he's here... my mind is peaceful. I couldn't trace the demons that keep haunting me every night. It feels so good as I feel the softness of the mattress and the warmth from his embrace.

I think the hollow inside me that serves as a den of those demons has been filled. They are sealed, so they can't come out anymore and bother me. O may kinakatakutan sila kaya hindi na lumalabas ngayon?

The side of my lips curled up as I drifted to sleep while I was in Kairus' arms. Iyon na yata ang pinakapayapa at mahimbing kong tulog. Pasado alas otso pa lang ng gabi nang makatulog kami at nagising lang ako ng alas tres ng madaling-araw.

"Did you sleep?" tanong ko pagkatapos sulyapan ang oras sa bedside table. Naabutan ko na kasi siyang dilat at nakatitig sa akin nang magising ako.

Our legs are tangled under the sheets. It felt surreal to see him first after I opened my eyes. Gusto kong isipin na panaginip, pero ang rahas ng tahip ng puso ko ay sobrang lakas para maging kathang-isip lamang.
