CHAPTER EIGHT
Manang Lety sitted beside my Mom instead of me.
"Ofcourse! Don't worry hijo."
Manang Lety cooked my Dad's favorite, ginataang kalabasa and sitaw with shrimp. She also cooked fried fish. While Dad ordered a cake. The thought of Dad buying a cake for tonight's unexpected dinner with JB made me smile. It's very unusual for him to do that!
Dad and Mom keep on asking JB about some of his personal informations like where did he came from, his Mom and Dad's jobs, his achievements in school and interests. Something like that.
And because of that, I realized something, na sa mahigit pitong buwan naming pagkakakilala, hindi ko pa pala siya ganoon lubusang nakikilala. Like yes, I can say that as time passes by, we're getting closer.
"How about your dream job JB?" I asked him. He already knew mine. I dreamt of being a teacher when I was young but when I reached highschool, my mind changed. What I want now is to be a flight attendant someday. I want to travel and explore the world!
"Hmm. I want to be like my Dad. Engineer." he simply said. He sounded like he idolized his father!"Looking forward for that time to come." Dad smiled to him.
We finished our dinner before 8PM. I'm glad that Dad and Mom didn't do anything that made me or JB uncomfortable.
"Tita, Tito, thank you for the dinner." nakangiting ani JB nang palabas na kami ng gate. Naghihintay na ang kaniyang driver.
"You're always welcome hijo." ani Mom. "You can come here anytime you want."
Sinulyapan ko si Dad, checking his reaction. He just smile. He's not against with what my Mom said, huh?
"Crissa, thank you. See you tomorrow!"
"Ingat JB!
So cute!
Naisipan kong mag-online sa Facebook. Check messages and notifications.
Jann Brix Diaz: I didn't expect it. Somehow I felt relieved. They must be strict but they are so kind. I had a great night with them!
I know what he's talking about...our unexpected dinner earlier!
I saw our friends' comments. Nangunguna pa si Jhenine. Active huh?
Jhenine Couline Montes: OMYGHAD! ALAM NA THIS. HAPPY FOR YOU! :)
What does she meant? Alam na this? Hmm. Makacapslock pa wagas!
I saw my cousin's reply to Jhenine's comment. Curiousity kills!
