"You will be presented with lessons in every circumstance that surfaces in your life. When you experience pain, you learn a lesson. When you feel joy, you learn a different lesson. For every action or event, there is an accompanying lesson that must be learned. There really is no way to avoid the lessons you are presented with, nor is there any chance that you will be able to skirt around the learning process."

Darn it Yasmeen! If only you had learnt cooking instead of climbing trees". Whined Yasmeen slamming her fist on the island surface.

She was standing in the kitchen from the past ten minutes and still wasn't able to decide what to make for breakfast. This was the first time she was going to cook for Fahil and so she wanted it to be special.Till now her mother in law  cooked  the meals for all three of them while she would just assist her but since she left for her hometown yesterday so today she was going to do the cooking all by herself. And honestly speaking she had no hopes for her in kitchen.

Fahil was still asleep while she woke up early to prepare the breakfast and here she was afraid to trust herself in the kitchen all alone.

"Ummi I miss you,Ya Allah!! you should have at least made me learn the fundamentals of cooking". She looked up, pretending to look at the sky over the roof top and sighed with frustration.

"Assalamualikum".

Startled she muttered a reply, hushing her whining quickly.

Clad in jeans and a T shirt, his hair all wet and tousled, he looked deliciously handsome and far too much at home. She couldn't even admire him patiently as fear filled her heart when she realised that there was no break fast yet.

"Is everything alright"? He pulled out the stool and sat down.

Worried, her heart beating faster she felt like crying.

"Hey what's wrong"? He was now standing directly infront of her and the only emotion she registered was...nervousness which by the way increased tenfold times.

"I..I haven't prepared the breakfast yet".She walked to the cabinet and pulled the door open."Please give me some time I'll prepare what... i mean...whatever you want".

"Ya Allah what if he says something that I don't know how to make? Blooming heck! I don't no anything. I would have concoct a break fast for him, giving a name to the dish but why on earth did I ask him his choice". She screamed at herself mentally.

"What can you prepare the best"?There he was, seemingly enjoying her situation.

Excellent Yasmeen, just what you needed.

She stood there staring at him like a foolish, nervously twisting her ring on her finger.

He laughed light heartedly. Enjoyment was fairly bubbling up in him."okay I'll make the breakfast for us."

"What...No"She stammered again, looking at him wide eyed, puzzled at what he just said.

"I am excited". He chuckled, lifting his brow with an unasked question.

"I wanted to make something special for you". She said in a frail voice masking the twinge of guilt.

"It's okay let's have it the other way round". He looked at her who stood there feeling bad."trust me,it's not a big deal".
