I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature.

Months ago when Hera escaped from the town with a handful of money and a heart full of pain she thought that the pain would subside and she'd soon move towards a life that was better than what was gone.

But now, as she waited for the bus with several others, she couldn't help but wonder, how helpless we humans are and how fragile our 'power' is.

The past few months were full of ups and downs, failures and triumphs, clarity and blurs, happiness and sadness, holding on and letting go, but most of all a time of learning lessons,of finding beauty in the breakdown,of looking for hope amidst despair,of seeking of shelter in the middle of storm, of finding peace in pieces.

She wasn't grieved but she wasn't happy either, in fact she felt she had lost the ability to feel anything at all.

The only emotion she felt strongly was to disconnect herself from the people, the memories and her surroundings. Leaving a letter behind her for Ayesha she once again left her abode as the dark thunder clouds billowed across big sky crackling with sound and lightning.

The next morning in the pink dawn she was on the bus rolling into Shikhla. It was just short of twelve when the bus reached town. The bus drew up in the square and most of the passengers got off, including Hera.

Securing the veil over face, she stood there fighting fear, pain and delirium. She carefully looked around, trying to piece together some sense and took stock of her surroundings.

Satisfied, she fumbled in her purse and pulled out a sheet of paper on which she had noted down the address of Sahra's residence, and looked at the address trying to figure out a way to safely reach there.

She took the ferry across the lagoon and boarded another bus which took her straight to the given address.

She didn't know whether she was suppose to be happy or scared of what was coming ahead. She didn't know what she was in for. The road ahead seemed difficult, and she didn't know where it would lead but she followed it anyway.

"I am here to see Ustadha Sahra".

She said meekly, to the two women in matching black abaya's who were sitting behind the reception desk.

One of them gave a mildly quizzical glance,"Are you a student of her"?

"Yea...yes".

Her mouth was dry and her palms were sweating and she felt as though she might pass out.

"Go straight and then take right, you'll find her in the very first room of that corridor".

Once finished taking directions, she started down the hall, and each step sent her blood pumping a bit harder.
