ﻣﺮﺩﻡ ﺩﯾﺪﻩ ﻣﺎ ﺟﺰ ﺑﻪ ﺭﺧﺖ ﻧﺎﻇﺮ ﻧﯿﺴﺖ

The pupil of my eye sees naught but your face
My bewildered heart recalls none but you
*Five years later*
Life often shifts between feeling like you have it all figured out and, you know nothing at all .Fortunately, every experience (whether good or bad) ends up teaching you something. The beauty of life is to accept both with humility and take what it has to offer and leave the rest.
Five years ago when Yasmeen moved out of her home country she never thought she'd come back after so many years.Leaving home was hard - it's scary and a part of her wanted to cling to the place that she'd grown up in. If it wasn't for Fahil's work she would have never considered starting over in a new country and fate had it such that in the span of last five years she couldn't come back home even for once. The visits to their place by the members from both sides of their families were often enough and they didn't feel the need,so there were no plans made to go home.
She looked out of the plane window and was consumed by a strange sensation. She felt like she was floating on the waves of destiny, of the Qadr, swimming with the tide, drifting far out to sea away from the shore.
"How is the baby doing"?
She stirred from her trance at Fahil's voice.
She looked at the sleeping Suleyman in the seat next to her and smiled at this little miracle.
"He is fast asleep".She replied, tucking the top of the blanket into the headrest of the seat.
Fahil's face flitted through several emotions before settling on a sly smirk.
"No I'm asking about the other baby".
She smiled sheepishly,as they looked at her bulging stomach even though she had tried to hide it behind an oversized abaya.
Yasmeen's eyes closed for a moment and she laid her head on his shoulder.
"The baby has launched a veritable kicking spree". She chuckled, pressing her hand firmly to her stomach.
"Cruel and unusual punishment?" Fahil sighed, a small smile playing on the corner of his lips.
Yasmeen grinned and weakly smacked him on the chest.
"But seriously though,are you alright?"
He reached a hand behind her back and gently massaged it in circular and firm strokes.
"Absolutely,Alhamdulillah..."
She took a sip of the coffee then promptly put it down, her face contorted from the bitter taste. She was looking forward to getting home,to her family and friends. She smiled at that thought.
