A/N: FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF FLUFF! and I wanted something good to happen to a certain character for once. Thanks for the 100 reads!

The day started like any other. The boys woke up, got ready for school, went down stairs where Martha had breakfast ready, then waited for Washington to come down before they left for school. Washington first, the boys about thirty minutes later. It was the normal schedule for the week days.

When they arrived, Eliza met up with Alexander for a kiss. After the movie the night of the party, Lafayette asked out Angelica, and so far so good. Laurens and Peggy hadn't been out on a date yet, but they were planning to next week.

Lunch.

This was the only time of day Angelica and Lafayette got to see each other since Angelica wasn't in high school. But they still enjoyed eating with each other every day.

"Bonjour mon ange, comme j'ai attendu si longtemps pour voir ton beau visage." He frenched. (Hello my angel, I have waited so long to see your beautiful face.)

"Oh brother." Alexander sighed.

"I don't know what that means but thanks anyway." Angelica laughed.

"You don't want to know." Alexander joked, earning a nudge from Laf.

Eliza walked over to them after the conversation was over.

"Take notes. Simple. Smooth." Alexander smirked. "Hello beautiful, your presence makes me feel better already."

Eliza blushed. "Thank you." She went over and kissed his cheek.

Alexander turned his gaze to Lafayette. "See? English, that's how it's done."

"How what's done?" Eliza asked, being totally oblivious to the conversation earlier.

"Alexander and Lafayette are having a competition to see who is more romantic." Peggy was more than happy to explain.

Eliza slapped Alex on the arm.

"Well, I'm sure he won anyway." She laughed. "But it's not a competition, not everyone is as good with words as you are and that's not a bad thing."

"Thank you!" Lafayette exclaimed.

"Not everyone can be as french as Laf either." Angelica joked.

"Is that good or bad?" Laf laughed.

"Good." She gave him a kiss on the cheek.

After lunch was over, Laurens met Peggy in the hall. "Friday?" He asked.

"What?" Peggy was confused.

"Date night Friday?"

"Oh, sure. How about a movie at 7:30ish?"

"See your there." He laughed before heading off to his next class. He stopped and turned around when a thought hit him.

"I'll walk you to your next class, it's my class too anyway."

"Such a gentleman." She smiled.

They walked over to their next class together. John was happy, for the first time he had experience true love. Since he was never at the same school for too long, he never had the time to make friends or fall for someone. Not that any of the kids at his other school liked him anyway.

After school.

Alexander drove to school that day, being the only one who saved for a car, so he drove home with Lafayette and Laurens. When they got home, there was a strange car in the driveway. When they went inside they saw a man in a nice suit, he had a brief case with him as well. He was sitting on the couch talking with Martha.

"Which one is him?" The man asked.

Martha pointed at Laurens. "Laurens dear, this nice man is here for you."

Laurens got a little nervous, what if this guy was from the foster agency? What if Lee made it sound like the Washingtons weren't good parents and he was here to take him away? He went over and sat down in an arm chair next to the couch.

"Hello John, my name is Mr. Cameron. I need to talk to you about some things." Mr. Cameron spoke.

Laurens nodded, still nervous about what they were talking about.

"Do you remember your father John?" He asked.

"Yes." Laurens answered a little confused.

"You're father's parents had some money. They cut him out of their will when he ran off with a young girl. Your mother." Mr. Cameron continued.

Laurens nodded. He had no idea what this man was talking about. But he kept nodding anyway.

"Your grandmother died years ago, and your grandfather died just a few weeks ago." Mr. Cameron said.

Alexander and Lafayette had gone upstairs. After they changed, they sat on the stairs to eavesdrop. They couldn't catch everything the man said, but they could see them talking. A little while later, Laurens ran upstairs, so they backed up and acted casual.

"Hey, who's that guy? You know him?" Alexander questioned.

"He, he..." Laurens trailed off.

"What did he say?" Lafayette chimed in before Alexander could ask a follow up question.

"I just inherited one hundred thousand dollars."

"Oh my gosh. What happened?" Alexander was curious.

"My grandfather just died and left me his fortune." Laurens said, still in disbelief.

"My man is rich!" Lafayette laughed.

"Not yet. It's in a trust fund until I turn eighteen." Laurens laughed at Lafayette as he acted like a little boy who had just received a sticker.

"Have you made a wish list?" Alexander joked.

"Hey, I just found out thirty seconds ago. I'm open to suggestions though." Laurens chuckled.

"Get a brand new car that I can borrow sometime." Alex suggested.

"You already have a car." Lafayette pointed out.

"Yeah, but one that would make Jefferson really jealous." Alexander smirked.

"One. You're five. And Two. I still don't have a license." Laurens informed them.

"I thought Eliza was helping you with one of her many cars?" Alexander giggled.

"Yeah, but I need to practice for the written test part too."

When Washington came home, Martha called him into his study and Mr. Cameron went over everything that happened with him in private. After Mr. Cameron left, the family had an interesting dinner.

"You should by a horse." Lafayette kept the suggestions coming.

"Or better yet, a tiger. Something to eat Jefferson." Alexander chimed in.

Laurens just laughed at them acting like ten year olds. He was happy, his life was finally turning around.
