Five minutes before school.

"Peggy!" Laurens called out. "Can we talk?"

"Yeah, what's up?" Peggy ran over.

"I know that since we are kinda in a relationship now that we should probably go on more private dates. You know without the love birds." Laurens said referring to Alexander and Eliza. "So would you like to go see a movie tonight?"

"Yeah of course. 7 then?" Peggy suggested.

"See you then. Oh, I'll have to meet you there. I can't drive with a boot." Laurens said. He hadn't told her he didn't have a license yet, he had to put it off since he couldn't drive with a broken leg. He didn't want her to judge him or feel bad for him. He didn't like pity.

"Ok, it's a date."

After school, Peggy rushed home and went into her room. She screamed in her pillow for about five whole minutes. Then Eliza ran in.

"Are you ok?" Eliza panicked.

"I have a date, and you and Alexander are not coming." Peggy laughed.

"Yay. And ouch. When?" Eliza asked.

"Tonight at seven. Can I barrow your car?" Peggy asked, not having her own.

"Yeah sure. You should ask for one for your next birthday." Eliza joked. "You can't use mine forever."

"Fine, but until then you need to share." Peggy giggled.

"Come on, let's get you ready." Eliza smiled. "You can't wear your uniform sweetie."

"Ok, what do you suggest?" Peggy perked up.

"Depends. Are you going dancing, or dinner, or movie?" Eliza asked.

"Dancing? He would break my foot with his boot." Peggy chuckled. "Movie."

"Perfect. I suggest your yellow skirt with that one white top." Peggy knew exactly what Eliza was referring to.

"Done." Peggy jumped up, ran over to her closet, and shut the door.

"Wear your white Keds too." Eliza called out.

"Ok, good idea." Eliza heard a muffled yell from the closet.

She came out a few minutes later. Peggy went into her on suite bathroom and pulled her hair back.

"What do you think?" She came out and posed for Eliza.

"I think Daddy would kill any boy caught looking at you." Eliza joked.

"Perfect. Daddy can't treat me like a child forever." Peggy protested.

Eliza started laughing. Their father had been very overprotective of them after their mother died. He wanted them to get married someday, but he wanted to make sure it was someone he approved of. When Eliza told him about Alexander, he practically turned into a cherry tomato.

"I'm sure he would like Laurens, he did say that if any of us were boys we would have been named John or Philip Jr." Eliza giggled.

Peggy started laughing. "Yeah."

Angelica came in next.

"What's going on in here?" She asked.

"You'll find out tomorrow." Peggy teased.

"Be nice Peg, she's still our sister. Peggy got a date." Eliza laughed.

"Oooo. Where?" Ange pushed.

"We're just going to see a movie." Peggy sighed. "Just a little something."

"Yay. Now both of my little sisters have found love." Ange cheered.

"Calm down." Peggy gave her sister a shove. "We could've been three sisters with three brothers."

"I can't right now. I already broke it off with Jefferson. I don't want a relationship with someone in high school." Angelica began. "It wasn't that I didn't like him, but I can't be with someone like that right now."

"We get it." Eliza said. "We just wished you had ended it better."

"So do I."

The time came for Peggy to go. She went downstairs and headed out to Eliza's car. She drove up to the theater, Laurens had already arrived.

"Hey Peg, you look great." John said.

"Thanks." She went over and kissed his cheek. "You too."

"Shall we?" He smirked as he put his arm up for her to take it.

"We shall." She smiled. They headed inside. They were going to see a replay of an older movie since Alexander and Lafayette took Laurens to see all the new ones already. They were going to see Jaws. Peggy wasn't the type of girl that hated horror movies, so she was cool with it. She had already seen it anyway.

"Have you seen this before?" Peggy asked.

"No. Why, should I have?" Laurens returned the question.

"No." She knew that most people had already seen this movie, but Laurens wasn't most people, he had a harder life. It wasn't that big a deal anyway. "Just be ready for some sharks."
About halfway into the movie, Peggy leaned over and laid her head on Laurens shoulder. He smiled and leaned back on her. He grabbed her hand and held it close in his palm. He feared so much that he would wake up and this would all be a dream. Peggy noticed him clenching his hand tighter and tighter.

"Hey, are you ok?" She asked.

"Yeah. Just promise me you won't try and scare me during the next shark attack." John laughed.

"Laurens, don't lie to me." Peggy looked up at him.

"I just love you so much, and I hope you love me back." Laurens mumbled.

"I do. I mean, what's not to love?" Peggy laughed. "I mean look at those cute little freckles."

John got all shy when Peggy complemented him. No one ever really complemented him before. No one cared enough about him. That was until now.

JAWS SPOILERS!

"SHARK ATTACK!" Peggy yelled, as the shark ate Quint.

SPOILERS END!

Laurens jumped and Peggy started dying laughing. "Ah, you look like Eliza when she watched The nightmare before Christmas for the first time. She was five!"

"Haha. Laugh all you want." He smirked and then wrapped his arms around her. She leaned in close to him and planted a kiss on his lips. They parted just as soon as the movie ended.

"So, did you have fun?" Peggy asked.

"Yeah. I can't wait to see the sequels." Laurens nodded.

"Trust me, you can." Peggy joked.

"Not as good?"

"Not as good."

"Ok, what other movie would you suggest?"

"Well, Christmas is coming up, so maybe you would want to watch a Christmas romance movie with me next week." Peggy begged.

"Maybe. I'll think about it."

"Well my father wants to meet you and Alexander. So maybe we could have a movie night." Peggy suggested.

"Question, will your father try to kill me?" Laurens asked.

"Depends. He doesn't like you right now, he wishes I liked someone with a more stable background." Peggy sighed. "I think he really does like you as a person though, but makes up excuses because he doesn't like me dating."

"I hope you're right." Laurens nodded.

Alexander pulled up into the parking lot. "Hey lover boy! We got a curfew. Let's go!"

"Alright alright. May I kiss you goodbye?" Laurens smirked.

"Of course." Peggy smiled and leaned in. Laurens met her lips and they kissed. He wrapped his arms around her waist as she lifted her arms around his shoulders. When they broke apart, Peggy smiled at him and gave him one last kiss on the cheek. Laurens ran off and went home with Alexander.
