Amnesia. A word for someone who has lost all or part of their memory. A person with amnesia can recover from it with help depending on the severity of the injury or how they recieved it. Alexander Hamilton fell out of a tree and hit his head. I think you can put two and two together.

"WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH HIM?!?!?!" Eliza asked Laurens at school. "HE COMPLETELY IGNORED ME ALL MORNING!"

"Right, umm. How do I put this?" Laurens sighed. "He doesn't know who you are?"

"WHAT?!?" Eliza screamed and gasped at the same time. "When did this happen?"

"The doctor said he has mild amnesia, he should remember in like a week. But he has no idea you two are together. Or even that you're Eliza."

"Great. What am I going to tell my snooty, jealous, cousin?" Eliza ranted. "She thinks I made him up."

"Yeet. Maybe you could tell her the truth?"

"Yeah right. Then she thinks I'm too stupid to admit defeat."

"Eliza? Look me in the eye and tell me you won't take Alexander to meet your cousin without explaining what happened." He put his hands on her shoulders and made direct eye contact.

"Fine. At least not today that is." She caved in out of pressure.

"Good. Come on let's go." Laurens said as the bell rang. "Oh, and where's Peg?"

"Sick. She had like a small fever last night and our dad just wants to wait and make sure she's not contagious. She's really fine though." Eliza explained.

"Bummer. That's ok."

They ran off to their next class.

Lafayette had been helping Alexander all day since they had like the exact same schedule until lunch, then he switched back and forth between him and Laurens.

"I have to run to the bathroom. Please don't do anything stupid." Laf stated.

"Ok, I'll just meet you at?" Alexander trailed off, forgetting what class he and Lafayette had to take next.

"French. We both speak it fluently, but it is required by law for you to take a language in school." Lafayette shrugged.

"Ok, I'll meet you there." Alexander walked off as Laf went to the restroom.

Alexander was doing really good since he barely had a clue where he was. That is.... until Jefferson showed up.

"Morning immigrant." Thomas ran his shoulder into Alexander's arm as he passed by.

"Hey? What the heck was that for?" Alexander yelled over to him.

"Good measure. I don't really feel like beating you up today, I can't get detention." Jefferson smirked.

"Are you Jefferson?" Alex asked.

"Are you stupid or something?"

"Is that a yes?"

"Umm, Yes."

"Ok, just making sure I have the right guy." Hamilton kicked him on the shin and ran off to his next class. Jefferson yelled and ran after him.
Alexander didn't know where he was, so he wasn't able to outrun Thomas.

"Huh, I don't know what's wrong with you today Hamilton. But at least it's in my favor." Thomas pinned him up against the wall. Sadly, there were no witnesses nearby. Except for the janitor, but everyone thought he was crazy anyway.

"You're nothing more than a nobody, trying to act like you're something you're not." Jefferson socked him in the mouth and let him go. Then he just casually walked off like nothing had happened.
Alexander had fallen to his knees, but jumped up and ran off.

Lafayette walked into French. He didn't see his brother. He double checked every person in the room. Nothing. Alexander walked in a few minutes later after Lafayette began panicking.

"What happened to your lip?" Laf asked.

"Umm, I may have found out who Jefferson is?"

"Wow, did you fight back?" Lafayette asked even though he knew the answer. It wouldn't matter if both Thomas Jefferson and Alex had forgotten who they were, they would still fight each other on sight.

"Yeah. I kicked him in the shin." Alexander didn't know if he normally did that. But based on what Laurens told him, he knew they got into fights.

"Uh, if we weren't in French, I would rant in French." Lafayette exasperated.

After lunch.

"Alexander. We got PE, let's go!" Laurens called. "And, if a girl with black hair and dark brown eyes comes up and talks to you? Be nice, its probably Eliza."

Hamilton nodded and followed him.

"Alexander?" Eliza walked up to him. "Hey, I'm Elizabeth Schuyler."

"Wow." He fell in love with her all over again. "I'm Alexander Hamilton."

"I know, we met before you.... had the accident." Eliza sighed.

Alexander's thoughts ran deep through his head. Wake up stupid! Eliza is short for Elizabeth! This is your girlfriend!

"Oh! You must be Eliza!" He laughed. "I'm so sorry if I didn't recognize you I had this....."

"It's ok. John already told me." She smiled.

Alexander tilted his head. John? He only heard people call him Laurens.

"Oh, umm. That's Laurens' first name." Eliza told him.

"Yeah, right. I can't seem to remember anything lately."

"It's ok. You'll remember soon." She gave him a kiss on the lips. He started blushing.

After school, Eliza came over to the Washington house to spend some time with Alexander. Laurens had been a great help on filling him in.

"Here's another story." Laurens began. He had been explaining story after story to him. It was the end of January, Laurens arrived in Augest. Yet there was so many things that happened since then. "I passed out at school, then woke up in the hospital."

"What?" Alexander asked.

"Oh, right." Eliza remembered.

"I got appendicitis. The nurse told me I was fine. I ended up in the hospital, and she ended up without a job." Laurens laughed.

"You seem really cool about this. I mean, even yesterday when you told me about your father hitting you, you were calmer than most would be." Alexander asked perplexed.

"After months of therapy, which I still go to like once a month, I just excepted it as part of my life and moved on." Laurens shrugged.

Lafayette came into the room. "Its raining cats and dogs outside."

"Wow, you're right." Eliza looked out the window.

"Well at least Alex can't remember anything." Lafayette said. "Not that that's a good thing but... you usually get all weird during storms."

Alexander tilted his head. "Why?"

"You told me that when you were young, a hurricane destroyed your home. When your brother and half brother died, you came here to live with your cousin." Lafayette answered.

"I didn't know you had a brother." Laurens said.

"Neither did I." Alexander joked.

They spent the rest of the day explaining as many stories to him as possible. Eliza went home after awhile. After dinner, Alexander went upstairs and went to bed early.
