Amelia had everything- family, friends, a promising future- the sky was the limit. But just like that everything was taken from her. One moment she's planning her high school graduation party the next she's laying on a therapist's couch. It was as i...
I immediately jumped back in question as to who she was speaking to. I will admit there are times when Aralyn's life choices about who she sleeps with can make her out to be a slut. But in her defense, she does live by three rules when it comes to sleeping around. One, the guy cannot be in a current relationship with someone else. Two, the guy cannot be someone that has a hand in controlling her future. Three, never screw around with the same guy twice.
She has told me many times over that once you sleep with the same guy twice, feelings become inevitable. And Aralyn isn't really one for emotional relationships, not when she has so much going on in her life. She didn't want to worry about another thing by adding a boyfriend to the pile.
But, yet she believes that a fuck buddy won't add chaos to the mix. Yeah, cause that makes absolute sense.
I continued to listen to the conversation while still keeping my distance. The tension on the other side of the door was fuming and I could feel it from the hallway.
"Who is he? I saw the message on your phone, you're such a slut Aralyn. What the hell am I to you? A rebound? Some kind of sex toy that you keep around for when you need to get off?"
"Oh please, get off your high horse you goddamn man whore! Do you really think that I don't know you've been sleeping around with every girl on this floor? And for the record, asshole, I own better sex toys that run on batteries instead of your constant bitching!" she fired back.
Gosh, I know I should intervene at this point, but this just keeps getting more and more entertaining with each passing word.
Damn, you should have made popcorn.
For a brief moment there was nothing but silence. . .
Aralyn's voice broke through the air like a gunshot going off.
"Don't fucking touch me!"
Without a single thought I flew at the door and flung it open to find Griffin Adams looming over Aralyn. With a building rage I was ready to knock him off his feet. I barged into the room to push him away from her. However, he must have seen me coming from out of the corner of his eye.
The next thing I knew I was flying across the room after the back of his hand made contact with my cheek. I fell backwards, smacking my head on the edge of my desk.
"Amelia!" Hearing the sound of Aralyn's voice in such a panic was enough of a distraction from the piercing pain that pinched my temple.
Who the hell does this guy think he is? Grab the textbook on the desk and smash it over his head!Feel that rage boiling up and use it. Grab the book. Do it!

I felt like I had become completely detached from my body. Like a puppet on a string, I had no control of my movements.
Without even trying to fight back the urge- I slowly got myself off the floor and this time picked up a textbook that was sitting on top of the desk. With one swing, I smacked the back of his head with the hardest part of the book. In an instant, Griffin stumbled away from Aralyn and covered his head with his arms in searing pain.
