I watched her grab a pillow to cover her face.

"No one  in particular," she muttered.

Moving one of her bags, I sat down on the corner of her bed.

"Hey," I urged. "What is it?"

Nothing.

Aralyn sank lower behind the pillow. "Aralyn, nothing can be more shocking than what happened to me today. So, please just tell me."

She lowered the pillow, revealing her golden, brown eyes. What was so bad that she didn't feel like she could tell me? Did something else happen with Griffin that I was unaware of?

Ugh, just the thought of that asshole, makes me want to vomit.

Geez, for once I actually agree with the voice in my head.

"Tell me," I pushed.

"Seth! I called Seth."

My eyebrows raised. "Professor Kalford? You called a teacher to come to our dorm room to help move the body of a student whom I so violently injured with a fucking textbook?" I felt my blood run cold beneath my skin. "Are you out of your goddamn mind?"

Aralyn sat up straight against the wall.

"No, wait, I didn't call him first. He called me."

I gave her a dubious look. "He called you?"

"This morning was so crazy, between Griffin and your head injury I had completely forgotten to go to class." She went on, "Somewhere around eleven my phone went off and it was Seth. He was seriously pissed about me not showing."

Well obviously he was pissed. That one text that he sent her a few days ago was still branded in my memory. I'm sure the only reason that man showed up for work was solely to see Aralyn in class. It was no wonder why he called her.

"So, what did you tell him?" I hesitated to ask

"So, what did you tell him?" I hesitated to ask.

"I told him basically everything that happened, you know with Griffin and how he almost cracked your head open." She must have seen the worry in my eyes because she continued to go on.

"Seth immediately rushed over here to see that I was not joking about any of it. He wanted to know who hurt Griffin..." My breath was stuck in my lungs as if I forgot how to exhale.

"He knows that it was me," I assumed. Well I suppose now I should be expecting a lawsuit coming my way as well as a very unpleasant letter from the school board about my reckless behavior.

But Aralyn shook her head. "I told him that I was the one that hit him over the head with the textbook."

"And he believed you?" I asked with sarcasm as she playfully shoved me.

"Oh, shut up," she laughed. "When Seth got here he helped me move Griffin back to his dorm."

Seth appeared to be someone that had immense feelings for Aralyn. For a brief moment I wondered what he must have looked like when he found out that she was being harassed by another guy. Were his eyes filled with fire the way that Elijah's were when his temper arose? Or, did he continue to carry his calm and quiet demeanor as a professor?
