Amelia had everything- family, friends, a promising future- the sky was the limit. But just like that everything was taken from her. One moment she's planning her high school graduation party the next she's laying on a therapist's couch. It was as i...
For the next half hour, I completely spilled my guts to him. Well, almost completely.
I told him of the various blackout episodes. He now knew about the blackouts, panic attacks, but- not the voice. I couldn't bring myself to tell him about her.
Thankfully, Elijah kept his questions at the bare minimum for the time being, even though it was obvious I piqued his interest on numerous occasions.
He didn't appear bothered when I spoke of my unexplainable wild behavior, but was not so happy when I mentioned my sexual endeavors. Sleeping around with only one guy doesn't sound like a big deal. However, Aralyn was "kind enough" to keep track as to how many guys I had slept around with. Come to think of it, I was almost positive she kept a list of their names somewhere.

Awe, what are friends for?
"Hey, think of it as some sort of scoreboard," Aralyn suggested with a wry smile.
I dreaded the moments when I'd catch her writing another name down. Most of the time she would try and scribble a name down while I wouldn't be looking. But it didn't matter. Because that list kept on growing. God save me if Elijah ever got his hands on that paper.
The thought alone was enough to make my stomach churn.
Elijah rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. "Well now I see why my track record with women doesn't bother you," he said.
I shrugged. "If it makes you feel any better, I can't recall any guy I've been with."
He turned to look at me with a clear sense of disbelief. "None of them?"
I shook my head in puzzlement. Suddenly I felt his hand roam over my thigh to grasp my own.
"What is it?"
A devilish smile tugged at the corner of his mouth.
"Something about that satisfies me," he said in a rough tone.
My brows snapped together, "my memory loss satisfies you?"
He let out a deep chuckle from his chest. Before I could argue, he had me pushed back against the sofa. He loomed over me with wicked intentions sizzling in his eyes and leaned down to kiss me.
"No, silly girl." He pulled back only to brush the strands of hair away from my face. "I'm satisfied with the idea of being the only man you have confided in. And, also that you can't remember sleeping with any of those bastards." His crystal blue eyes poured life back into me.
"Elijah!" I smacked his chest and the two of us laughed at his brutal honesty.
He grasped my chin, "None of them deserved you."
"Thank you," I breathed with gratifying relief. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I suddenly felt like a gigantic weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
