Elijah captured my hands from his chest and swept them around his shoulders. My body pressed tightly against him. I peered up at him as his eyes glistened from the light of the moon. The corners of his mouth lifted.

"My turn," he said thickly. Instantly, the same carnal countenance that I saw on the patio had reappeared across his face.

My eyes rounded while a wave of goosebumps spread up my arms. He trailed along the fold of the towel I had wrapped around myself. The same towel I had previously wrapped around myself while searching for my nightgown.

God damnit

God damnit.

I had gotten so swept up in the view, I completely disregarded my nightgown. I couldn't believe how oblivious I was. On the other hand, maybe I had unconsciously done myself a favor.

The moment we shared back on the patio filled me with so much want it left me gasping. I thought by taking a cold shower I would alleviate some of that tension. But that had been proven useless. Elijah was barely touching me . . . and he was setting my entire body ablaze.

I felt his hands skimming over the part of the cloth I twisted to keep the towel in place. With a slight tug, he grasped the towel in one hand and dropped it to the floor. I let out a sharp gasp. I had an instinctive feeling to cover myself up with my arms. But he made sure my hands remained on his shoulders.

"What if someone sees us?"

He shook his head. "They won't. I own this property down to the water's edge. No one is allowed to even get close enough to see you."

He held my stare with heavy intent, yet kept his hands at his sides. Waiting.

"Elijah?" My voice was barely above a whisper. It was hard enough to look at myself naked in the mirror. So, having someone else look at me was a completely alien feeling. What I didn't understand was why he was hesitating. It wasn't as if he had never seen my bare body before.

"I didn't get a chance to see you last time," he disclosed. Visions began to flash in my head of him spreading kisses down my front. His breath hot was against my skin while he worked his way between my legs.

"Last time I rushed," Elijah admitted. "This time is different. Now I want to slowly learn every inch- every mark on your body."

"But-" he silenced me with a kiss before I could get another word out. Calmly he broke away to press his forehead against mine. His voice was rugged.

"I want you to trust me."
