Seoyoon's POV

"I just called the caterer for Seoyoon's birthday and they're asking if a portion of 50 people would be enough." Mr.Lee asked my mom as she went through her paperworks.

"50 people? Mom that's a lot." I said surprised.

"Well yes I know, but it's your special day and I really want to introduce you to my other business partners." She pouted as she placed all the papers down.

"Fine mom." I sighed.
The day after tomorrow is the big day, the day I turn 23.
It never feels good to feel old.
I can't believe another year had passed.
It feels just like yesterday when I woke up to a complete different person, who didn't know who I really was.
A lot has happened inside a year.
And to think about it, this year is also coming to an end, how is time fly by so quick?

"You okay?" My mom asked , sitting beside me which caused me to snap out of my thoughts.

"Course mom, why wouldn't I be?" I chuckled with a little confusion.

"Well you seemed bothered that's all." She said, worried as she caressed my hair.

"Jihoon hasn't replied to any of my texts. He said he'd call me when he reaches Jinyoung's place.." I ranted to my mom.

"Maybe he forgot?" Mom tried to make me feel better.

"Look, maybe he just forgot okay? I'm sure he'll call you. Just don't stress yourself too much." She smiled and kissed my forehead.
Well, I guess she's right.
I shouldn't even worry too much, it's not like he's out partying with a bunch of different girls, you know what I mean?
I don't know, now that i'm back with him..I just feel as if anytime I can just lose him in a split.
which of course, I sure wouldn't want that.
Jihoon is a lovely guy and any girl would fall in love with him.
I should trust him right?
Yes, I should. He'll call me.
Oh no, is he not calling me because of last night? You think maybe he thought I was bad? Or he changed his mind after what happened? Jesus Seoyoon, get your act together!

As I walked up to my room, I heard my phone ringing from a distance. This is it.
It must be from Jihoon.
I hurried on over to my room and quickly grabbed my phone.
As soon as I saw it was indeed, from Jihoon.
I got excited.

"Hello?"

"Hey"

"Hey, why didn't you reply to my messages?"

"I'm sorry, I was just enjoying my time with Jinyoung and his dad that I had completely forgot to check my phone."

"Oh, that's fine. I'm glad everything went well between the two of you."

"yeah."

"So uh, hey, I was thinking we could eat dinner together tomorrow night, you know? like wait til' 12?"

"Yeah uhm, I kinda need to stay at work the whole night.."

"ohh.."

"Yeah, i'm sorry love."

"nono, It's alright. I mean, you gotta work. That's fine."

"you sure?"

"Yeah, definitely."

"alright then, I'll see you soon. I love you."

"I love you too."

I ended the call feeling a little bummed out.
He didn't at all sound excited upon hearing me which sucked because I thought I had that effect on him.
This is the reason as to why I started to overthink again.
Did he change his mind about me?
Did he think I was too easy last night?
oh Park Jihoon, what are you doing to me?
Why are you doing this to me?
I'm about to go crazy.
I know, i'm overreacting huh?
I can't help it!
He sounded so dull and uninterested as he talked to me.
I don't know if it's because he's tired or what.
Whatever, i'm gonna go get some sleep.
I've got a lot of things to do tomorrow.

"Goodmorning!" My mom yelled as she entered the room.

"Yes?" I groaned and sat up.

"Get ready, we'll be checking the venue today." She sounded a little too excited today.

"Venue? I thought we were gonna hold the party here at home?" I asked a little confused.
I remember her telling me that she didn't want to host the party anywhere else besides home.

"Well, change of plans." She laughed.

"Now get up and get ready." She instructed me once more before leaving the room.
I sighed and finally got up from my bed.
There's no point of even complaining right now, I don't have the right energy and it'll pretty much be useless too. No one can ever win against mom.
But other than that, I truly did appreciate her efforts in making my birthday a very special day for me.
I can understand it since it was the first birthday i'm spending with her after 2 long years of not being able to.
We all know the reason why so i'm not gonna say it again.

I took my time to take shower and do the rest of my business before coming down to finally leave.
As I do all the stuff I needed to do, I waited and waited for Jihoon's texts but just like yesterday, he didn't text me at all this morning.
I texted Woojin and found out he woke up way before I did and usually he would message me, unfortunately, I woke up to nothing.
I tried texting him as well but he didn't even reply back.
I was confused, worried and upset.
Why is he suddenly playing this game again? We were fine just days ago, it's just our first dew days being back together again and yet he's already causing drama between our relationship.
I always thought communicating is the key to a healthy relationship but unfortunately, he wasn't briefed.

"Are you all done?" My mom asked. I simply gave her a nod and headed out of the door.
You know what? Whatever Jihoon is up to and I hope he's having fun.
I won't make it look like i'm desperate for him, he's the one whose supposed to be begging for my time.
Not me.
We women, never beg for attention. I just wish he'd text me back! Ugh!

"What's wrong?" Mom asked.

"Nothing." I bluntly said. I came off rude because of all my thoughts which by the way, I don't even know why i'm  stressing this much.
Psh, Jihoon? He'll come around. Fingers crossed.

"You sure? you look pissed." She chuckled.

"Me? Pissed? No way. Why would I be? Because Jihoon doesn't reply to my texts? So what? I don't care, do I look like I care mom? Because I don't and i'm fine." I angrily said.
I mentally cursed at myself for basically exposing myself to my mom and caused a huge embarrassment for myself.

"Okay dear, if you say so." She calmly replied and went back to scrolling through her phone.
I laid back on the car seat and took a deep breath to calm myself down.
I am not gonna allow myself to be the paranoid one in this relationship, damn it!
