a groggy groan left wonwoo's throat when a bright stroke of sunlight shone directly into his eyes, making him roll around to hide away his face in the pillow. he pulled the duvets all the way over his head once he felt a terrible headache kicking in.

"i don't want to wake up.." he grunted, trying to remember what happened last night and why the sheets smelled so familiar. weren't blankets on vacation supposed to smell far different than home? then why did this one smell like something he scented before.

something like.. a person.. someone he fairly knew..

and that's when it kicked in.

wonwoo aggressively threw the blanket off him and sat straight in a swift motion, a little too quick as it made the pounding against his skull only worse. he reached for his head and pressed the palm of his hand against his forehead in an attempt to ease the pain.

he let his eyes wander through the room, slightly panicking, to see if he could recognize anything. however, this wasn't the room he shared with his sister as he lay in a double bed, not a single bed with his sister on the other side of the room.

the only thing that seemed similar were the wooden surroundings. the walls were all entirely made from a brown reddish sort of wood, even the wardrobe that stood against the wall matched colors.

however, wonwoo still had no idea how he got here or how he ended up in a strangers bed. oh no.. what if..? wonwoo's eyes instantly shot down, making him let out a sigh in relieve. he was still wearing the same clothes he had worn the night before, the beer stain still clearly visible in his jeans.

so wonwoo assumed that the suspected stranger that brought him here had done nothing else but offer him a bed to sleep in. or at least, that's what wonwoo hoped.

the last thing he could remember from the night before was him downing his fourth glass of beer at once, everything after that being one big black gap. mingyu. wonwoo automatically felt heat rise up to his cheeks.

what happened between them? because wonwoo knew he was one to speak his mind freely whenever he got drunk. and with mingyu's company it would have been better if he didn't.

but he didn't want to think of it as he pushed himself off the bed, finding the right balance to stand on his feet before he walked up to the door. with a loud creak that echoed the room he pushed down the handle, leading him to an empty hallway.

the walls were built from the same type of wood he saw in the bedroom, giving it a rather ancient vibe, as if it had been build about a hundred years ago. he counted exactly six pairs of doors with on both ends of the hallway a large window that reached from the ceiling to the floor, bathing the hallway in the orange glory of the early morning sun.

on the left end of the hallway there was a stylish staircase that circled twice when you walked down, it being also made of (you can almost guess it at this point) the same varnished wood the complete house was filled with.

as wonwoo stood on top of the staircase he heard indistinct chattering coming from downstairs, making his body tense up at the thought of him having to socialize with strangers again.

the room he came from was still so close.. it wasn't too late to sneak back inside and hide in there until someone would come upstairs to search for him. however, his curiosity won since he still had absolutely no clue who brought him here.

automatically, his feet led him down step by step, trying to sneak down as silent as a cat, having absolutely no idea he was clearly visible for those who already sat downstairs. his breath hitched in the back of his throat when he found out multiple pairs of eyes had been staring at him.

he ended up standing in some sort of large living room, featuring a gigantic oaken wooden table, occupied by five guys who were busy sipping on their early morning coffees. their attention averted to the sleepy head that just arrived and awkwardly waited at the bottom of the stairs, trying to adjust his hair so it wouldn't be sticking out in every possible direction. even when those around the table clearly were still in their pajama's.

"goodmorning wonwoo. i thought you'd never wake up! come sit with us!" mingyu enthusiastically waved and patted a black leathern chair that stood next to him.

well. at least he didn't wake up to total strangers. it could have been worse.

though without spilling any words, wonwoo quickly walked over to the seat next to mingyu, hoping he didn't have to be the centre of attention any longer.

he was quick to sit down in the chair mingyu pointed out, letting his body sink back in the comfort of the leathern fabric. he propped his elbow up on the left armrest, leaning his head against his hand to give himself a more nonchalant look as he didn't want to look like a complete fool.

did these guys even know about the fact that wonwoo had absolutely no clue what he was doing there?

"i don't think we've met before?" wonwoo looked up as he got the feeling the voice was pointing him out.

right in front of him sat a boy with hazel brown hair and a smile a little too wide. he assumed he had to be around his age by the way he looked and he was certain that they hadn't met before. he felt no sense of familiarity, not like the feeling he had when he met mingyu and the three other boys that occupied the table.

"no?" wonwoo softly replied, carefully shaking his hand the guy offered earlier.

"my name is seokmin! me and my dad run this place, cool isn't it?" he proudly said, politely unlacing their hands again as he continued to show off his blinding smile.

"it looks very nice." wonwoo tried to at least sound somewhat enthusiastic, but knew he couldn't beat seokmin's level of happiness.

mingyu cleared his throat, interrupting their conversation. "so about what happened last night.."

oh no.
