"here you go, my boy."

mister lee handed wonwoo his steaming cup of hot chocolate as he took place in the couch opposite of them. seokmin was seated directly next to wonwoo, carefully taking sips of the hot beverage.

"did the two of you have a great time?" the adult questioned, interrupting the silence that had been present since they got inside. a trace of a faint smile appeared on seokmin's face when he went through all the memories the group of teens had made together. he had experienced so many new things in just the short span of a few days. but most important, he finally learned the feeling of true friendship.

"i did." seokmin grinned mischievous as he looked at wonwoo sitting next to him. "and i think our wonwoo had a great time as well, huh?"

the called boy felt heat rising to his cheeks, desperately trying to hide it behind his curly locks. "i think it has been the best trip i've been on in my life." he truthfully spoke, blowing away the steam that radiates off his hot coco in an attempt to cool it down.

"it's been beautiful to see all of you coming together like this. you were all so different yet so alike." seokmin's father nonchalantly leaned back in the leather cushions, a proud smile displaying on his face. "especially seeing you and mingyu growing closer warmed my heart."

the blush that had already been present on wonwoo's cheeks only got more furious. "i agree with my dad, you two are made for each other. have you ever heard of the term soulmates?"

"don't be silly, mingyu's not my soulmate." wonwoo huffed, not wanting to admit how soft the words made him.

"yes he is! how can't you see that yourself! you are literally two puzzle pieces that fit together! you're like.. the pineapple to his pizza!"

"pineapple on pizza is gross." wonwoo answered, nervously taking a large sip that nearly burned his throat, making him hiss painfully sharp.

seokmin gasped in shock, dramatically placing a hand on top of his heart. "you didn't just- oh wonwoo you're missing out on the fun part in life!" of course he had to exaggerate a bit to convince the curly head.  "but to get back to the point, i've never seen two boys open up to each other like how the two of you did. it was as if both you and mingyu finally found that one person."

"i don't even know what got into myself, let alone into mingyu. he'll probably change again once we're back in the city." wonwoo mumbled, sulking over his steaming cup of hot chocolate. perhaps it was because of the fact that mingyu had just took off, or maybe he was scared to find out about the way the boy would act once they were back in their natural environment again.

"i see." seokmin's father calmly replied, getting both wonwoo and seokmin's attention on just the simple two words. "it's about what we talked about yesterday, isn't it?"

wonwoo felt heat rising up to his cheeks when he received a questioning look from seokmin, who clearly hadn't heard about the conversation he had with his dad. "perhaps." wonwoo silently replied as he was still confused about it himself.

"i think you really shouldn't worry about it too much. i've seen the mingyu who came in here for the first time and i've seen the mingyu who had met you for the first time." seokmin's father described him as two complete different personalities. "he completely became himself after the first time the two of you met. it's like seokmin said before, you two have found each other."

the emphasis he put on the word 'found' somehow managed to lift wonwoo's sorrows for a bit, a warm feeling forcing itself a way into his tummy. he couldn't even restrain a smile from appearing on his lips, which he quickly hid away behind his mug.

"no need to hide it, my boy." mister lee spoke with a smile that radiated nothing else than warmth. "you're experiencing a feeling called love right now. the most beautiful yet most mysterious feeling that exists. you should have seen me and seokmin's mother."

"she was your soulmate, dad." seokmin spoke. wonwoo could clearly read off his expression it made seokmin somewhat sentimental to be reminded of his mother. however, it still didn't manage to wave away his usual happiness.

"she really was, huh?" mister lee leaned back in the couch, combing a hand through his thin silver grey hair. "she was so gorgeous the first day we met. our love story actually really reminds me of yours and mingyu's. we met on a beautiful day, mid-summer. the beach was crowded but yet she still managed to spot me in-between all those people."

the man pushed his glasses a bit higher up his nose as he looked up at the ceiling, visibly reliving the moment. "i can remember how the wind played with her shiny black long hair. or how her body swayed so smooth with every step she made while she ran up to me. we used to talk for hours at night, watching over the serene sea, engulfed by stories of our youth."

"especially on nights like these i miss her soft voice, since she never really stopped talking." he grinned cheekily on all the memories he had made with her. "it was my biggest wish to move here one day. so after she passed away me and seokmin decided it would be best to live here and move on with our lives. we didn't like the bustling city anyways."

a sad sigh escaped his lips on the memories of grieve. "but i'm just old." he laughed and looked back at wonwoo. "you and mingyu are still young and i think you should make the best of it once you still can."

mister lee's words had touched the boy deeply. it made him realize that he should really take the worth of memories more serious, especially after the moving story he just heard.

and it was that moment when wonwoo realized, he was really in love with mingyu.
