"you should have brought your swimming trunks so you could join us in the water." mingyu spoke, pointing at hansol, junhui and chan who were actively splashing water against one other a little further into the sparkling blue sea.

mingyu had lead him and wonwoo to the towels and sat down, patting on the space next to him to motion for wonwoo to sit down as well. at first wonwoo doubted, but sat down anyhow, keeping a small space in between their bodies to not make the atmosphere awkward.

"yeah, no. i'm not really into swimming." wonwoo lied, not able to tell mingyu the actual reason why he refused to swim in his presence. next to mingyu, who looked like a whole greek god, he would look like a wet noodle. he was not exactly planning on embarrassing himself like that.

being shirtless was one of his main insecurities. his skin looked milky white and you could see half of his ribcage through chest as he was just skinny. he didn't have any muscles nor broad shoulders to show off. compared to mingyu he would only make a fool out of himself..

"i don't believe you. how can you possibly not like to swim?" mingyu cocked his brow, giving wonwoo a glance of disbelieve, "and besides, the temperature of the water is perfectly cool! are you really not joining us?"

"nope." wonwoo refused rather cold, staring at his toes that played with the mushy sand.

"i can walk you back to your bungalow to pick up a pair of swimming trunks? heck, i even brought an extra one! you can borrow mine!" mingyu said, tightening the muscles in his arms meaning he was trying to push himself up.

"as if i'll actually fit them! your waist is at least twice as broad as mine! we're not doing that" wonwoo propped his feet up and hugged his knees. even his legs were just two bony milky white sticks. he didn't have two perfectly formed calves like mingyu had. he barely even had any hair growth on his legs while mingyu's limbs were covered with a manly layer of dark hair.

mingyu's overall presence seemed so flawless compared to wonwoo..

"but.. i want to take a dive with you.." mingyu whined, pouting as he remembered how he successfully convinced wonwoo with this expression the previous time as well.

"your friends are literally there! take a dive and have fun with them!" wonwoo pointed at the three cheerfully playing males in the sea. however, it still didn't seem to make mingyu move the slightest inch.

"didn't i just say i wanted to take a dive with you?" mingyu said with a clear emphasize on the word 'you', confusing wonwoo even more as to why anyone wanted to swim with him so specifically.

"what's so special about swimming with me- mingyu stop making that face you look weird."  mingyu had brought his face closer to force wonwoo to look back at him, pouting ridiculously.

"i don't look weird! and stop talking like that, why can't i just take a swim with you! you didn't want me to walk you home yesterday and earlier this morning and now you also don't want to take a swim with me!"

"i'm not even wearing swimming trunks and what do you expect me to do with my specs!"

"but you can see perfectly without them! you didn't wear them to the party last night!"

"i'm not swimming. end of discussion."

mingyu again tried to convince wonwoo by giving him the saddest face he was capable of, but wonwoo remained mute as he glued his eyes to the towel next to them so he wouldn't have to look at mingyu's stupidly cute expression.

"then i'm afraid that there's only one option left." mingyu spoke, his volume mysteriously lowering.

wonwoo felt how the towel moved a little and in the corner of his eyes he saw how mingyu got up. he didn't think much of it as he expected mingyu to join his friends. however, he flinched when he suddenly saw mingyu's shape come closer to him, making his head peer up to the gigantic figure that leaned over him and suddenly grabbed the frame of his glasses with both hands.

"mingyu! what the fuck!" wonwoo cursed out loud when minty had taken off his glasses in a swift movement and placed them on the towel next to wonwoo's body.

but mingyu didn't said a single thing as he continued with pulling wonwoo up, forcing him to stand on both legs. a sly smirk got stuck on his face when he suddenly pulled on the hem of wonwoo's shirt, making wonwoo jerk the fabric back and step backwards, avoiding his spectacles beside his feet.

unfortunately, mingyu was quick to catch him and used all his force to keep the struggling wonwoo in place, taking his shirt off in a swift motion and exposing wonwoo's milky white chest to the sun.

"mingyu! let go of me!" he yelled again, being forced in the direction of the sea this time with mingyu guiding him, laughing like a maniac.

however, it didn't feel as bad and uncomfortable as he expected it to be. his level of embarrassment was still way too high, but mingyu's hands that clasped around his arms and his chest being pressed against wonwoo's back felt warm and protective somehow.

being this close to him made wonwoo realize he started getting familiar with the way he smelled like. it was strong and overwhelming, but also a scent that reduced stress and tension when he inhaled it. very manly but sweet. a type of cologne that had to be rare as wonwoo hadn't smelled it on anyone before he met mingyu.

however, his thoughts got interrupted by a sudden cold sensation going all the way over his body and before he knew it, his entire body was underwater. mingyu's arms and chest disappeared and wonwoo had to hold his breath to stop water from entering his mouth and nose, the salt tingling in the corners of his eyes.

until he decided to stand up and get his head above, the water being at the same height as his hips. aggressively he wiped away his hair, that was a good inch longer now it was wetted, to uncover his eyes. mingyu stood next to him, pressing his arms around his tummy from laughter.

"i hate you." wonwoo mocked, splashing water at mingyu, who was obviously having way too much fun about this whole situation.

both mingyu and wonwoo knew it was a lie. wonwoo couldn't possibly get mad at the playful puppy-like guy, who introduced him a whole new load of amusement in his life.
