We walked out of the court room with our new happy family
Stella: Mom can Emma come over
Riley: No not today honey. We're going to go out to eat instead
Carson: I love you guys
Josh: We love you too
Riley: Josh I have something to tell you when we get home
Josh: Is it urgent
Riley: It's about names I cannot say in from of the kids
Josh: Okay we can talk about it after dinner
Stella: Can we go to applebee's
Carson: Please
Riley: It's up to your dad
Josh: I think we should
I pushed the twins stroller to the car and got them out and put them i the car, I looked over and saw Carson helping Stella into the car I smiled and thought to myself wow I really love my family
Riley: Hey Josh do you think we could go see my mom super quick before we go to dinner
Josh: Yea sure I don't see why not
Josh drove to my mom's house
Josh: Do you want us all to go in
Riley: No I need to speak to her really quick about a certain person and then ask her if we should involve him in someone's life or not
Josh: Okay babes take your time
Riley: I hopped out of the car and walked in
Amber: What a surprise to see you here what's up
RIley: So you know how we just adopted Carson
Amber: Yes I do
RIley: Well today was supposed to be a happy day until I got a text from my lawyer saying that Chase is out of jail and is going to request to get full custody of Carson
Amber: He can't do that after all he's put you through and now you have to del with him taking Carson back
Riley: And the whole point of the adoption was to have him not be with Chase anymore
Amber: Before we talk about how bad Chase is do you ever regret not choosing him all of those years ago like just think. Carson would be your child you wouldn't have to deal with Mrs.Richards and Chase probably wouldn't have had to go to jail
Riley: First of all mom Chase is super abusive and used to hit Charli all of the time and second of all I am Mrs.Richards and no one is going to Change that not even Chase getting out of jail. I love my husband and my kids. I do not regret choosing the love of my life all of those years ago
Amber : I guess you're right you made the right choice by choosing Josh and not Chase plus I wouldn't have all of my grandkids if you had chose Chase
Riley: Wow mom really
Amber: What
Riley: I'm happy with the guy I love and all you have to say is that you're happy you have grandchildren. I have to go Josh is waiting with the kids in the car.
Amber: No don't go
I walked out with tears in my eyes but before i got into the car I took a deep breath wiped my tears and opened the car door smiling.
Josh: Is everything okay
Riley: No but I'm okay
