The next day, Aaliyah was in Georgia and at Jay's house.
"So you mean to tell me that your own sister can't stay these few days with you?", Aaliyah asked.
"So you can put Jada on me? No. I love her but I'm busy this weekend", Jay said.
"Listen, watch her just for today. That's it", Aaliyah said.
"Why?", Jay asked.
"Because I have to go do something", Aaliyah said.
"Like what? Like what do you have to do that you can't take Jada with you?", Jay asked.
"I could but it would be best if I didn't", Aaliyah said.
"You ain't about to go buy some drugs are you??", Jay asked.
"I'm on the route of getting clean, and I've been doing good so far thank you very much", Aaliyah said. "If you don't wanna watch her then it's okay. I'll take her"
Jay sighed. "Just for until you come back", Jay replied.
Aaliyah smiled. "I won't be long", Aaliyah said. " besides you could use the practice"
"Oh and have you talked to Carmen?", Jay asked.
"No. Why?", Aaliyah asked.
"Because she said she ain't talk to you in a few days", jay replied.
"Oh... I really just don't feel like talking to her", Aaliyah replied. "She's a secretive girl and I don't like that"
"You secretive", Jay said.
"Yea, but I've been open with her. She hasn't been open with me. Her and Killa dated a few years ago and I don't even know if she was going along with him or what when me and Dre had a target on our heads", Aaliyah said. "And it was something she could've prevented"
"How do you know if she could have prevented if they weren't a thing anymore?", Jay asked.
"Because I know she could've", Aaliyah said.
"He threatened her though", Jay said.
"That's what she said but it ain't no telling if it was true or not", Aaliyah said.
"You could ask", Jay said.
"...I rather just keep my distance for right now", Aaliyah replied.
Jay nods. "What about you and Dre? He told me he was staying in a hotel", jay replied.
"Yea. He's kinda mad with me", Aaliyah said. "Short but long story"
"And it isn't any of my business so", jay said.
"Exactly", Aaliyah said before walking out the house.
Suddenly, Jay got a call from Dre.
"Hello", Jay answered.
"Aaliyah there yet?", Dre asked.
"Yea but she just left", jay replied.
"To go where?", Dre asked.
"I don't know", Jay replied. "I thought you were mad at her anyways"
"Mad. Not broken up", Dre said.
Jay chuckled a little.
Jada began crying.
"Woah woah. If Jada there, then why Aaliyah ain't?", Dre asked.
Jay walked to Jada and picked her up as he began talking. "I don't know man. I'm just watching my niece", Jay said.
"Uh uh. Something ain't right", Dre said.
