A little after 9 o'clock, Dre came into the apartment.
Aaliyah was sitting outside on the balcony, looking at the stars. She saw Dre pull up but she still didn't more.
Dre came outside on the balcony and Aaliyah smelled nothing but weed.
Aaliyah looked down as he sat in the other chair.
"Aaliyah, I am sorry about acting like that while you were at work alright", Dre said. "I just need to know"
Aaliyah looked at him. "Need to know what?", Aaliyah asked.
"If you guys have something going on", Dre said.
"I told you and he told you no", Aaliyah said.
"So why when I come in to surprise you to take you to lunch he all in your face and then when me and you are eating lunch you looking back at him way too long", Dre said.
Aaliyah shook her head. "I don't have anything to explain to you. I told you that me and him have nothing going on Dre", Aaliyah said.
"Do you like him?", Dre asked.
"I barely know the guy", Aaliyah said.
"It only takes a couple conversations to figure out if you're feelin somebody", Dre said.
Aaliyah looked away. "I don't know alright. But it doesn't matter because I quit", Aaliyah said.
"Well, if you felt the need to quit then I guess you do", Dre said as he sat back.
Aaliyah looked at him.
Dre looked out at the cars driving and so did Aaliyah.
"We been through a lot and I get that, I did somethings and you did somethings and...here we are? On the edge of ending of marriage that barely even started", Dre said.
Aaliyah looked down.
Dre looked at Aaliyah. "And I know that I kinda messed up the trust in this relationship from the start, but I won't do that any more. I lost enough in life and I'm not about to loose you too", Dre said.
Aaliyah looked at him.
"As much as he wanted to fuck him up right then and there...I knew it my fault from the start of something happened between y'all", Dre said.
"Which it didn't", Aaliyah said.
"I've calmed down and I know that know because I'm actually listening", Dre said. "And I'm sorry"
Aaliyah looked up at the sky and changed the subject. "The stars are bright tonight", Aaliyah said.
Dre looked up at the sky. "Yea I guess", he said.
It was silent between the two for a few minutes until Aaliyah broke the silence.
"Even though you acted the way you did today, you've improved", Aaliyah said.
"How?", Dre asked. "I didn't think jealousy was improvement"
"I wasn't talking about your jealousy. I was talking about your actions. When Deshawn put you again the wall I thought you were going to snap", Aaliyah said.
"I'll be honest with you. I would've snapped but you got in the way", Dre said.
"...well...never mind then", she said.
"Yea", Dre said as he scratched the back of his head.
Aaliyah shook her head.
"...still no more therapy?", he asked.
