Decisions Part II

Kim Taehyung was having an intense internal monologue about the weird kid currently looking at him in awe and curiosity, ice cream long forgotten. There were so many questions running through his head and he wanted all their answers. He knew very well that this weird child was indeed an important asset of this case. Dansae might even give him some leads on the identity of the Mastermind of this mysterious murders and kidnappings.

But, this kid had some serious problems. The weird glint in his eyes while talking about the cruelty of devils, the brief flash of freaky yellowish color and the unpleasant aura around him. The more time that he spent with the kid, the more the  feeling of uneasiness grew, putting him more on edge.

He needed to tread carefully while in this child's presence. He wanted answers and he would get them, from this child himself. With that in mind, a genious and effective plan started forming in his prodigally and exceptionally sharp mind. "So... Dansae, You seem to have quite the unbeatable curiosity for Devils." He said, observing the said child's reactions and filing it carefully in his head under the label of 'Weird Child'.
"They are interesting.... So powerful and... so above other species. Especially humans." The last part was mumbled with such an intense distaste and disgust colouring the young child's voice, that it flared the already burning curiosity of Taehyung to intensify.

Personally he and other wise creatures that weren't too arrogant with the basic 'holier-than-thou' attitude towards humans would know what intelligent creatures humans were. They might be inferior to other creatures in terms of supernatural gifts but were actually quite smart. The genius technologies they produce will not possibly be so easy to make without the humans' smart minds and intense thirst to prove themselves to the other creatures. And everyone these days were so reliant on these technologies that life without them would be hard. Very hard. They might be weak and powerless in terms of strength when compared to other creatures but when it comes to basic intelligence, common sense, inventions, explorations or even discoveries and adventures, they are one of the best.

So, he did have a healthy respect for the human species. Now back to the weird kid who has now taken to staring at him both in fascination and wonder, he quickly said " Well, guess your fascination is very valid then..." He said, a very fake but no less ethereal and unrealistically gorgeous smile plastered on his lips. The child tilted his head, seemingly in thought, "You know hyung.... You are the most beautiful Devil I have ever seen." That did catch Taehyung off-guard. But, instead of showing it, his face didn't even have a trace of surprise; instead he was smiling, teasingly "I prefer handsome than  beautiful, but thank you Dansae." He said. Dansae giggled at this and licked his almost melting ice-cream cone. "So... Since you seem so interested in our culture... Why don't we get to know each other properly now, huh?" He said and didn't miss the flash of fear mixed with uneasiness in the kid's eyes.

"What do you mean?" Dansae said dropping the honorifics making Taehyung curious why the kid would fear telling more about himself. "I didn't mean to be intrusive. Please forgive my straight-forwardness. I merely find your interest in Devils very.... interesting in itself. I just wanted to play a Questions game with you, where you can ask as many questions about Devils as you wish and I will answer them, in turn I will ask questions about yourself which you would have to answer truthfully...", He said, delighted at the excited glint in the younger's eyes at the mention of Devils.

People didn't call him a Master Manipulator or The Devil with the Silver Tongue for no reason. He had an almost unbelievably excellent way with words. He could be the sympathetic listener when you want him to, he could be the strong yet authoritative voice needed to keep messy situations in control- preventing people from causing any chaos-, he could be the gentle lover or even more, he could be the ingenious poet with words spun around lyrically to allure others with the mere beauty and deep meaningful context of it,  making others fall into a deep trance with his words alone. The fact that his beauty could not be contained in mere words or could not be perceived in ones' wildest, craziest and most far-fetched dreams was the icing on an already deliciously divine cake.
