Percy continued running through the woods, all thoughts of running away from the place that had one been his home, but it wasn’t anymore. He was sure of that, Percy’s green eyes hardened at the thought of the betrayal. Percy’s although angry and mad, was just as sad and emotional as well but the emotional part was mainly due to the fact that Annabeth had broken up with him last year. He had been dumped due to the fact that he was away all the time on quests, yet wasn’t it Annabeth who taught me to never turn down a gods’ quest? Percy thought wryly, a single sound startled Percy out of his thoughts. With all his thoughts jumbled a memory brought itself to the surface, and it had just happened recently it was in fact the reason Percy was running.

***Flashback***

Never one to let show how weak he was, Percy simply took the fact he had just broken up with Annabeth the best he could; remaining calm until he reached the safety of his cabin until he let it all out. The anger, the sadness and the cold hard feeling of betrayal no one had heard him except one person.

Clarisse La Rue, daughter of Ares, God of War, had been walking past the Poseidon cabin when she had heard crying. Although she was not one who liked comforting people, Clarisse somehow always knew when someone was simply needed to talk to.

However upon entering the cabin Clarisse paused slightly, but listening to the sobs of that unknown person made her mind clear up and she entered the cabin. Not stopping to take in the sights, Clarisse walked over to the sobbing person. Taking in his messy black hair and puffy red eyes, Clarisse sat down next to Percy. "What's wrong?" She said awkwardly, Clarisse was never one to simply talk to her enemies, especially when they were crying.

"I think the better question would be what isn't wrong," Percy said dejectedly, not even looking up to see who he was talking to.

"Why?"

"Well, Annabeth just broke up with me, and I feel like all my old friends are turning on me because of that son of Hephaestus," Percy said in an angry and sad tone.

"You mean Henry?" Clarisse asked hesitantly.

"Yeah, he doesn't even seem like a child of Hephaestus! And I feel like everyone is under some sort of spell almost, it sounds silly doesn't it?" Percys' voice said sounding muffled as he hid his face in his hands.

"Well, it kind of describes what's been happening around here? And I'm sure you have some friend's right? Like Nico, Thalia, Grover and..." Clarisse paused as if trying to make up her mind, "me."

At her words Percy looked up, although shocked to see Clarisse, he was grateful for her words. "Us? Friends? It's a miracle enough that we haven't killed each other yet, and Nico is travelling, Thalia with the Hunters and Grover is out doing something they haven't been here since I got back from my mission a week ago."

"Well, shall we start over? I mean you've saved my life so many times in these wars," Clarisse started.

"Just as you have mine," Percy replied standing up and stretching, "thanks Clarisse," he gave her a light punch on her shoulder.

"Welcome Prissy," she said with a joking smile, Percy simply let out a smile in reply.

Clarisse had gone on a quest a couple of days later, and Percy was all alone again and everyone seemed to be ganging up on him. At least with Clarisse he had someone to talk to, now he had no one. In the last week they had become basically siblings as the camp turned against Percy, Clarisse helped him out.

Although Clarisse had been sad to go, Percy had basically forced her to go however something in his gut told him something was wrong.

In a flash of light Percy was summoned to the throne room on Mount Olympus. Stumbling as the light faded Percy looked around in surprise before realising where he was. Looking at the gods with a questioning expression he did a half bow, and started in surprise as Poseidon started shouting at him.
