A man with black hair and green eyes looked up at the ceiling of his room, his musing heard by none.

Then again, was I a coward to run away? Was I disloyal?

The man's eyes closed as the thought entered his head, it was often one that worried him but he would always push it to the back of his head and ignore it.

This time was different, instead of moving it to the back of his head he thought about it. No, I don't think I was a coward, I'm surprised as I look back now I didn't go sooner. But then again, they kept me there until, until it happened. Although the man sounded calm in his head and everything seemed fine, but just the thought of 'it' made him cringe inside and want to cry.

Opening his eyes once more, he got up from his spot on the bed and headed to the door. The man had been up for hours just alone with his thoughts he would often think of this as his 'meditating' time, however it was more like his time to reflect on his life choices. On a path that had been woven in his mind by years of walking it, the man walked down hallways and through doors automatically not needing to think about it anymore.

As the man walked down an empty hallway he found himself still reflecting on the past, his head pounded as a memory forced its way through his thoughts.

The man set on not reliving the past tried to ignore it, however the pain only increased. The man slowed his swift stride and closed his eyes briefly and continued, this time when the memory forced itself to the top of his mind he let it play out.

***Flashback***

Percy looked at the two children from his hidden spot in the shadows of a wall. Percy knew that the two children were demigods one was 7 years old with blonde hair and grey eyes while the other looked to be 13 years old with light brown hair with green eyes.

Percy frowned, echoed by the person who was shifting nervously next to him “calm down Skia,” Percy hissed quietly. Nico stopped fidgeting with an apologetic mumble as Percy focused on the two demigods, “Iroas, Skia come with,” Percy stepped out of the shadows.

The two children gasped in surprise and fright, the 13 year old girl pointed a dagger at Percy and the two hooded figures next to him. The dagger trembled as the girl spoke, “who’re you?” She shouted bravely only her trembling revealing the fact that she was scared.

“Well, I guess you could call me Vios,” Percy said before gesturing to the people next to him, “and you can call this dude Skia and this person Iroas.”

“Life, Shadow, Hero,” the younger girl spoke up, her mind translating the Greek into English.

Percy smiled, and the two girls caught the sight of green eyes flashing in the darkness of his hood, “well done.”

“What- What are you?” The older girl now spoke her voice wavering in fear, Percy looked at her sadly.

“We are like you, demigods,” the older girl was about to speak but Percy continued, “half mortal and half god. You were brought up without a real mother correct?” Both girls nodded stunned that Percy knew, “that’s because your real mother is a god. We’re going to take you to a camp for people like us and protect you from monsters along the way,” Percy finished.

“How can we trust you?” The daughter of Athena asked curiously, her eyes reminded Percy of Annabeth and he felt a pain in his heart before he answered.

As Percy opened his mouth his eyes caught sight of something in the shadows, a short hunting dagger appeared in Percy’s hands and he whipped his arm forward throwing the knife in one short, sharp motion. The bronze dagger spun in flips in the air before landing point first in something in the shadows. The daughter of Aphrodite jumped back as the thing in the shadow behind her turned to golden dust. “Is that proof enough?” Percy asked, picking up the dagger and it seemingly disappeared from his hand.
