I watched as my pack that I had tried to make fall into tatters, only hunger had kept us from killing each other. Everyone's ribs showed and everyone was getting on each other's nerves. I watched as they started attacking, but no one attacked me, they didn't dare. If they did I would kill them, easily all the dogs here I had already beaten in a fair fight. Beneath the sound of growling and snarling I heart the soft pat-pat of cloven hooves. I cocked my head to the side so I could here better, they were coming towards us. I barked orders at them, making my sound louder than the growing din of dogs fighting. They stopped and looked at me, I repeated what I had just said, "You three!" I looked at the three dogs I had chosen, "don't let them past, dogs on my right take a step to the right, dogs on my left take a step on the left. You are going to run on those sides of the cows, you four!" I looked implying to the dogs I had decided on, "you will follow me and help take the cows down you three on one, us two on the other. Got it?" All the dogs barked their agreement and I turned loping along the dusty ground with ease. I hid in the shadows and watched as the other dogs did too, I hoped my plan would work. As two cows slowly walked past me, I didn't move a muscle no one else did either. I looked at the cows one was black, fully matured and with big horns. The other one was light brown and with tiny horns, I got up and started running at the cows. The other dogs got up and followed me, the cows started trotting nervously. I quickly ran between the two and started nudging the black one away. I knew the other three dogs were doing the same with the smaller cow, the other dog I had chosen was now next to me. I dropped back and he moved using his teeth to nip and draw blood. I felt an instinct to jump, and I did, I pounced onto the cow and landed. I tried to keep my balance as the cow went into a full pace, I bit down on the closest place to the head I could. The neck, I almost fell off as the cow bucked, I was now only holding on with my teeth. The cow suddenly fell down on top of me, I managed to escape from underneath the cow I bit down on its life vein and the cow died quickly. I howled with trumpet, and all the dogs who had helped bring down this cow feasted, I didn't eat. I looked over at the brown cow and watched as the cow stumbled and fell to its knees. I saw a dog jump forward and kill the cow with a sharp bite of her teeth. I turned and walked away not even looking back when I heard the sounds of fights breaking out behind me. I just walked down a lonesome alleyway and spotted a rooster strutting around, it was a small thing and just enough to state my hunger for now. I grabbed it and broke its neck, I ate it quickly and left, leaving the smell of blood long behind. I found a pile of sand which was softer then the cracked pavement and slept on that.
