Chapter 25

The mass has been offered and I felt blessed and contented, this is always what I feel every time the mass ended.

Pakiramdam ko kasi nare-refresh ako at ang mga nagawa kong makasalanan ay nababawasan kaya gusto ko talagang magsimba every Sunday or kapag hindi Sunday basta may bakante akong oras, for me attending the mass is not a need rather a fulfillment because that's the only way to thanks God for all the wonderful things he have done to us.

We are thankful for every day.

I looked at the park where Lala and I had a little free time to review the scenery around earlier, napangiti naman ako.

"Mia, ano? dating kagawian?" I was taken aback and looked at Liam.

"Ano?"Nakangiting tanong ko nito.

Nginitian ko ito lalo nang binigyan niya ako ng nag-iimagine na naman look.

"I said kung dating kagawian ba?" Napatango naman ako nang dahan-dahan at tumingin kila Queen.

"Queen saan niyo gusto maghapunan?" Tanong ko nito.

Nagkatinginan naman ang dalawa at sabay nagkibit-balikat."Ikaw Mia? saan mo gusto?" Tanong pabalik ni Queen.

I smiled a bit and looked at Liam."Well, we have this kagawian kapag sabay kaming magsimba ni Liam, kumakain kami sa may malapit sa port may-ihawan kasi do'n at masarap." Nagsasalita pa lang ako nagutom na ako, I felt my stomach growls.

Nagkatinginan sila ulit at sabay tumango, ngunitian ko naman si Liam.

"But before that, we need to cook a rice first, do'n muna tayo sa apartment ni Mia, we don't buy rice only the grilled meat, it's because of Mia's reason na mas masarap kapag luto raw niya." Ani ni Liam, sabay ikot sa may driver's seat.

"Because best, masarap din talaga pag sa atin dahil unli-rice at alam mo na mahal din kaya ang isang cup ten pesos." Reason-out ko pa sabay bukas ng pinto ng front seat.

Napalingon naman ako sa likod kung maayos na ba sila Kin na kanina pa tahimik.

"So ano? Game?" I said cheerfully.

"Mia... Oo na lang, pero sa totoo sobrang gutom na ako..."

Napatango naman si Kin, kaya pala tahimik dahil gutom na kahit ako gutom na rin.

"Let's go straight best, gutom na rin ako bahala na basta kakain talaga I'm so hungry," I said while tapping my stomach.

I pouted when he just shook his head, I want to poke him pero wala akong energy.

"Honestly, kahit ako gutom na rin, maybe because of the cold weather." He said while looking on the road.

"Yay! Christmas is near na talaga honest!" Saad ni Queen na halatang pinilit lang maging masigla.

"Tama ka Queen, Christmas na look at those houses you can feel the spirit of Christmas," Kinfe said with appreciation visible in her voice.

I pressed my lips and made a thin smile while watching the different lights with some glowing colors and Christmas trees outside their homes with some balls and poinsettias' on it.

Beautiful.

Mabuti na lang at binagalan ni Liam ang pagmaneho, napansin niya sigurong tumitingin-tingin kami sa mga nagsisipagkislapang mga ilaw at nga man-made na bituin na naka-display sa may gelid ng daan.

I closed my eyes and feel the cold breeze coming from the air outside, we didn't close our windows dahil gabi naman at hindi mainit.

"Here we are, ladies." Masiglang saad ni Liam but I'm still inhaling the fresh cold air with the smell of grilled meat soathing my nostrils and as if on cue I opened my eyes and instantly open the door.
