Areum's POV
What... is she talking about?
"It's for the company and you can't do anything to stop it."
Is this... for real?
"Come on, smile! You're being stubborn, Areum! I told you that you can't do anything about it!"
She gave the dress to the designer's assistant and she guided me towards the fitting room.
"Omo! You look so pretty, Ms. So! or maybe I should call you, Mrs. Choi?"
The moment that she called me Mrs. Choi made my tears fall. My knees felt weak and I fell on the floor.
The assistant seemed surprised and she was about to go out but I stopped her because I heard a voice. It's Hyunsuk's mom...
"I... I'm fine..." I wiped my tears and tried to look calm and smiled widely as I opened the fitting room.
"Areum! You look so beautiful!" Hyunsuk's mom walked towards me and hugged me. She started at me with loving eyes which made my heart ache.
"Really Mrs. Choi? I guess I should just pick this gown..."
I smiled as I managed to speak, not cracking my voice but I guess she noticed my eyes...
"Areum... I... I hope that you and Hyunsuk would be happy together..."
I never felt sadness when I'm with Hyunsuk.
But this is different... I want to spend the rest of my life with someone else...
"Of course Mrs. Choi! I... I love... him after all."
I looked at my mom and I shivered when her sharp stare pierced through my soul. My hands started to shake when the assistant held me on my waist.
She pulled me towards the fitting room and I just... felt numb.
"I don't want to be nosy but... is it an arranged marriage?"
I slowly nodded my head, not showing any emotion in my face.
"I... I've encountered a lot of clients like you, Ms. So..."
I looked up at her face and felt calm when I saw her reassuring smile. It just felt she's someone I can trust...
"I... I love someone else... I don't know what to do..." the tears that I stopped streamed on my cheeks.
"I... can help you, Ms. So..."
"Ho- how?"
"But first, are you willing to throw away all of your wealth for the one you love?"
My eyebrows furrowed at what she asked me.
Am I... willing to do that for Asahi?
"Yes. I just want to be with him for the rest of my life."
"Well then, nice meeting you, Areum. I'm Jiwon."
