Areum's POV

"Asahi we shouldn't go there! Let's jusy go far away!" Asahi continued driving despite my plea.

"I just want to be with you, Areum. Without any possible problems in the future."

Asahi held my hand as he drove the car. I clutched his hands tightly as I remembered all of the things that happened in the past.

All those days that I saw him holding hands with Yena, I always wondered what it would feel like if that was me.

Now, I don't have to wonder how it feels like.

"What's wrong, Areum?" Asahi asked me as he wiped the tears on my cheeks that I didn't know I had.

"I'm just happy, Asahi. I'm happy for being with you..."

"Me too, Areum. That's why I wanted to talk to your mom." I nodded at Asahi and observed him as he drove the car.

After a while, we arrived at my parent's house. I took a deep breath opening the gates.

"Noona?! Why are you here?!" Junghwan shouted as soon as I opened the gates. I heard my mom shouting and I saw her going out of our house.

"A-Areum?" My mom looked surprised.

Junghwan patted my back and ran out of the gates. My mom called Junghwan but it was a futile attempt.

"Mo-Mom... A-Asahi and I... we would like to ta-" My eyes widened when my mom suddenly hugged me.

"I'm so sorry, Areum!" She caressed my head as she hugged me tight. I saw Asahi smiling which made me confused.

"I was too selfish... I thought that getting married to Hyunsuk would be the best choice for you! I'm sorry for being such a bad mom."

My tears started to fall and I slowly wrapped my hands on my mom. Its been so long since I was able to hug her.

"Be happy with Asahi, okay?" She held my cheeks with both of her hands and wiped my tears with her thumbs.

We talked for a while and I suddenly remembered Junghwan.

"Mom, what's wrong with Junghwan?" She suddenly started to cry which mad eme panic.

"He's been going home with a lot of bruises... I always asked him why but he always tell me that I'm being nosy... I'm just concerned about him..."

Bruises? Is he getting bullied by someone?

"Don't worry mom, I'll go talk to Junghwan." Her face lit up which made me smile.

"Then mom, we'll go ahead." She nodded at me and Asahi. We went out of the gates and she suddenly grabbed Asahi's hand.

Asahi told me to go ahead and go inside the car which I did. I opened the windows slightly so I can hear what they're talking about.

"I know that I'm not in the place to say this but... Please take care of Areum..." Asahi smiled at my mom and nodded.

"Don't worry Mrs. So. I will take good care of her." Asahi went inside the car and started to drive.

I waved goodbye to my mom as we get farther to her. My tears started to fall again and I heard Asahi chuckle.

"Why are you still crying?"

"Shut up."

I can hear him trying to stop his laughter which made me pout.

"So have you got in touch with Jiwon? What did she tell you?"

"She sent me an address. She told me that there shouldn't be any other people than us or we'll never get inside."

"Alright. Type the address." Asahi told me and I typed the address on his phone.

"Do you think he's alright?" I haven't saw him since the day that I ran away from the wedding.

Its been a full month since that day and Jiwon only answered all of my text messages now.

"He's Jihoon. He's strong."
