~Chapter 8~

No POV

Itachi hugged y/n as she sobbed into his chest. She was scared that Neji would touch her or hurt her. Itachi wanted to kill Neji for touching her.

"I-I'm scared, Itachi..."

Itachi snapped out his thoughts as he looked down at y/n. It hurt him to see y/n like this. The last time he saw her like this was when that accident happened...

"Don't cry, y/n. I'm here it's okay. I'll protect you."

Itachi whispered in y/n's ear as he rubbed her back. Y/n calmed down as she rubbed her eyes not caring about her makeup. Itachi grabbed y/n's hand and started to walk out the bathroom. Loud music and people talking filled up the whole club. As they walked towards the entrance y/n felt someone grab her wrist.

"Where are you going?"

Y/n turned around to see that Neji was glaring at her. Neji started to yank y/n's hand as he held it tightly which will most likely leave a bruise on it. Y/n winced in pain as she tried yanking it back.

"Let go of me..!!"

"I said where the fuck are you go- mm!!"

Y/n eyes widened as she saw Itachi punch Neji in the face. Itachi pushed Neji onto the ground and started to punch him repeatedly in the face.

"She said let go, bastard!!"

Itachi yelled as he kept punching Neji in the face. Y/n was sure that he was going to look messed up on the face. Y/n heard police sirens far away as she gasped.

"We need to get out of here Itachi..!!"

Y/n yelled as she yanked Itachi off of him. Before y/n ran away she kicked Neji in the stomach.

"The food sucked, asshole! Next time learn how to treat a lady!"

Y/n yelled as she grabbed Itachi's hand and started to run out the club. As they left the entrance of the club they ran towards Itachi's car and jumped in quickly. Itachi started the car up and drove off. As they drove off they noticed that the cops had barely showed up.

"That was a close one oh my god!"

Y/n sighed as she lowered herself on the seat and finally took a breath to calm herself down. Itachi nodded as he checked the mirrors of the car. Y/n tried buckling her seatbelt until she felt a sharp pain on her wrist.

"F-Fuck!"

Itachi looked at y/n immediately and grabbed her hand softly. He tried rubbing it to make it feel better but y/n only yanked it away.

"D-Don't touch me please..."

Y/n whispered to Itachi as she looked out the window. Itachi sighed as he parked in a grocery store parking lot. He turned his car off and looked at y/n.

"Y/n I think we should talk."

Y/n looked at Itachi as she gave him a "really?"
look. He sighed as he shook his head a bit. He looked around to make sure that they were safe before they talked.

"Y'know I'm grateful for you helping me back there but I still can't forgive you, Itachi..."

Y/n told Itachi as she held her wrist carefully in her other hand. Itachi nodded as he looked at y/n.

"I know y/n. I don't expect you to forgive me easily but at least let me explain please?"

Y/n looked at Itachi as she nodded a bit. She deserved a reason on why he left. It caused her so much pain when he left. Itachi took a deep breath before he began to talk.

"I left because they accepted me in the school I wanted to go. I said all those harsh things because I wanted you to hate me... I didn't mean anything that I said to you. I wanted you to hate me because j didn't want you to be upset on far the school was... I left so suddenly because I was a coward.."

Y/n looked up at Itachi as tears started to form in her eyes. He wanted her to hate him? He didn't even think about her feelings..! How could she hate him when she...

"You're such an asshole..! How could you say such awful things when you know I could never hate you! I love you, Itachi..!! I wouldn't have cared on how far the school was! You shouldn't have left me so suddenly... I suffered so much because of you..."

Y/n yelled at Itachi as she felt the tears drop onto her leg. She squeezed her eyes shut as she shook her head. Itachi looked at y/n surprised as his mouth hung open a bit. Y/n jumped out of her seat and sat on Itachi's lap. He was too into the moment to even get flustered from her sudden movements.

"It hurt so much when you left Itachi... it hurt me so much because you left me during the time when I needed you the most... not only that but you left me when I was figuring out my feelings for you..! You kissed me and walked out of my life..!"

Y/n yelled at Itachi as she laid her head against Itachi's chest. He was shocked at everything y/n had told him he didn't expect her to confess her feelings out of nowhere. Truth be told he felt horrible for everything he has done to y/n. She was right, he left at the worst time he could ever leave. Itachi grabbed y/n's head as he looked into her eyes. They were glossy and red from her sobbing. Those E/C eyes still looked beautiful to Itachi. He loved everything about her.

"I'm so sorry, y/n... I'm such an asshole for leaving you when you needed a shoulder to cry on. I'm also sorry if you feel like I played with your emotions. I was a coward y/n... I was scared to tell you that I love you too."

Y/n's eyes widened as she stared deeply into Itachi's eyes. She knew when he was lying but those eyes only held the truth. She started to cry even more as she grabbed Itachi's cheek and rubbed it a little. He leaned his forehead against hers as he grabbed y/n's cheek.

"Itachi... please don't ever leave me again. I'm begging you..."

He nodded against her head as he felt a tear drop fall down his cheek. Y/n only had this effect on him. He was only vulnerable around y/n. He wasn't scared to show her the way he felt though. She was his escape from this harsh world. He lifted y/n's head by her chin and looked deeply into her eyes.

"I won't leave ever again, y/n. I love you so much."

Y/n's heart started to beat rapidly as she looked at Itachi. Their hearts synchronized as they leaned into each other. Itachi couldn't handle it anymore and pulled y/n into a deep and loving kiss. Y/n was surprised at the sudden action but she loved the feeling. Happiness spread through her body as she kissed back. It's been a long time since she's felt this emotion... she was glad that she felt it again. The both of them split apart as they looked at each other.

"I'm glad you're back, Itachi."

Itachi smiled as he rubbed y/n's cheek lovingly.

"I'm not going anywhere."

He couldn't help but still think about y/n's situation and how she was feeling. Don't get him wrong he loved the moment but y/n's happiness mattered more to him than anything else.

"Y/n... now that we're together again I wanted to talk to you and check up on how you're feeling. How do you feel? About the death of your brother..."

Itachi whispered out scared that y/n would have a break down. Y/n smiled sadly as she leaned her head on his shoulder. Itachi held onto y/n's waist hugging her a bit. Y/n was happy that he cared it was just a subject that didn't make her too happy. Y/n sighed before she began to talk.
