CHAPTER 10

Amanda's POV

We just arrived here in the fashion show and there are lots of people already inside. The show's not yet starting so we still got some time to look for our assigned seats.

Nang makita na namin ang upuan namin ay nauna na kami habang si Ms. Leah ay nakikipag usap pa doon sa di kalayuan.

At times like this, I can't stop myself from yawning.

I haven't got any enough sleep from last night that's why my mind seems so foggy and can't focus that much.

Plus...

I can't get the conversation that Ares and I had out of my mind. If you're curious what happened after, well, I haven't agreed to his offer. I'm still weighing things. I don't want to end up with regrets again just like what I did between Lloyd.

I don't want to repeat the same mistake.

I know it's clear that Ares wants something else from me and I know for a fact how it will end...but there's a part of me that cannot decline his offer.

Linking myself with the CEO means exposure just like what he said. I don't want to use him because that means I'm like a gold digger, but I know working in the industry that I'm in, it will not be an easy battle --- given the fact that my parents are against with my career, for sure, they'll do something to make it even more difficult for me, and the only chance that I have left...

It's Ares.

Napasapo ako sa noo ko dahil parang lalagnatin ata ako sa mga iniisip ko.

Ugh Amanda you should ---

"What do you think, Amanda?" napatingin ako kay Jessica at Conrad.

"P-pardon?" right. Now I don't know what they're talking about.

You're so busy with your own thoughts, Amanda.

"Ang sabi ko what do you think about our upcoming designs? Should we go for minimal or abstract?"

"I think it's better to go for the minimal since rainy season naman. Rainy season caj be associated with a gloomy mood and I think abstract won't fit, it's better to go for a simple one." sagot ko.

"Hmmm...sige sige. Rerelay ko kay Cleo yan."

Kaming apat lang magkakasama ngayon dito, bale naiwan si Cleo at Justin sa office dahil may tinatapos pa sila.

"Nakatulog ka ba nang maayos? Your eyes are puffy." puna ni Conrad.

"Sorry." sabi ko at binaba na lang ang sunglass ko.

"Uy wala naman akong sinabing magsalamin ka. Hahaha! Here try applying this to your eyes." sabi nya habang may kinakalkal sa bag nya.

"N-no. I'm fine. Thank you." I smiled.

"Sure ka?" I nodded.

"Sige sige."

The entire fashion show ay nagpapalitan lang sila ng ideas habang ako naman ay nakikinig lang. I don't feel the need to barge in dahil nangangapa pa ako plus they sound very professional na in this field. Ako, I got the least experience so I'm taking this opportunity to listen to them.

Nang matapos na ang fashion show ay tumambay muna kaming apat sa lobby. Actually kaming tatlo lang pala dahil abala pa rin si Ms. Leah.

"So ilang taon ka na pala?" tanong ni Jessica.

"I'm 22." sagot ko.

"Oooh halos magkakasing edad lang pala tayong tatlo. 24 ako, etong si Conrad --- ilang taon ka na nga uli?" tanong nya habang kinukulbit si Conrad na abala sa sketching.
