CHAPTER 2

Amanda's POV

"Good job Ms. Cheng! These designs are superb!"

"Thank you." I smiled.

"I'll forward this right away to Sir Magdangal so he can review the designs then I'll message you if start na for tailoring, okay?"

"Okay po."

"Oh sya sige na. Take a weekend off. Pwede ka na mag de-stress." she smiles.

"Sige po. Thank you."

Nagpaalam na ako sa mentor ko and walked out of the school. Finally, makakapagpahinga na ako. Those designs were killing me for weeks.

As I hopped in my car, my phone started ringing.

Charlotte calling...

I just stared at my screen while it rings. Minutes later I received a message from her.

'Nag missed call lang ako kasi di mo binabasa messages namin sayo sa Telegram. Sagot sagot din pag may time. Luv u.'

Natawa naman ako sa pa-luv u nya sa huli.

I immediately checked my messages at natabunan pala ung kanya kaya di ko napansin. It contained photos of her report cards and wow.

'Nagkaron ako ng flat uno, gaga finallyyyy!!! Thank you sa pagreview sakin!!! Mwah mwah!!!'

I smiled upon reading her message. So she already got her report cards. Medyo may delay talaga ang school namin sa pagbibigay na kahit graduate na ay tsaka pa lang bibigay ang class cards.

I looked at my screen and typed my reply.

'Congratulations nagamit mo na utak mo nang maayos. Lovelots!'

Next ko naman chineck ay ung message ni Chanel.

'Girllll, pumasa ako sa entrance examination don sa law school na sinasabi ko sa inyooo. Parang pumapanig na sakin ang tadhana. HAHAHA!'

I remember how much she really wants to go to States to study law. Di lang sya pinapayagan ng magulang nya nung una kasi strict but eventually, pumayag rin.

'Glad to know that. I know you can pass it easily. Congrats!'

Matalino naman si Chanel kaya I'm not surprised na she nailed the entrance exam. Glad that she's one step ahead to her dreams.

Next kong binasa ay ang message ni Daphne.

'Omg Amandaaaa trinansfer na ako sa finance departmentttt buti naman makakagalaw na ako nang maayos hahahaha'

Ah her previous department nga pala ay toxic, so mabuti naman at nalipat na sya, dun pa sa department nyang gusto.

'Nice. Basta be careful uli sa working envi ha. Take care.'

Seeing these achievements from my friends makes my heart flutter. Ang sarap lang sa feeling na they're winning life.

Huli kong binuksan ay ang message ni Candace.

'AMANDAAAA!!! Can u sama tomorrow? I'll go buy some damit before I go back sa States. Puhleaaaase?'

Kahit wala sya dito, naririnig ko ang boses nya. One pitch higher ang boses nya kay Charl actually.

'Alright. Just message me where and what time.'
