CHAPTER 14

Amanda's POV

"AMANDA LOUISE CHENG!"

I raised my brow at him for yelling my whole name.

Naglakad sya papalapit sakin and I immediately looked at the owner and smiled.

"Pasensya na po. Una na po ako." paalam ko before turning to Ares.

Nakakunot pa rin ang noo nya habang nakatingin sakin.

"What's up with you?" I asked with my brow raised.

"I told you to take the day off! What are you doing here?" naiinis nyang sabi.

"Excuse me but you never told me to take the day off, you just said I can come to work only if I feel like it so I went to work and Mr. Reviello should I be the one asking what are you doing here?" I crossed my arms while looking up at him. For Pete's sake, why is this man so tall?

Kinuha nya ang phone nya at pinakita yon sakin. My eyes widened when I saw my message.

Binuksan ko ang phone ko and upon opening my Telegram, I just confirmed na napindot ko rin ang pangalan nya nung finoforward ko ung picture kina Daph.

Binalik ko ang tingin ko kay Ares at nakapameywang rin sya habang seryosong nakatingin sakin.

"Next time don't accept task all by yourself."

"I won't grow if I'll forever depend on someone."

"Can't you just listen?!" naiinis nyang sabi.

Ugh. This is not going somewhere.

Linampasan ko na sya at naglakad palabas para mag abang. He will be here anytime soon anyway.

"AMANDA!" inis ko syang liningon at tinaasan ng kilay.

"Do you really have to shout my name countless times?!"

Tumayo sya sa harap ko nang mapadako ang tingin nya sa suot ko.

"Why are you not wearing the clothes that I gave you?"

"Because it's hot?" it's long-sleeved and there's no way I'm wearing it kung mainit ang panahon.

"So iniwan mo na lang basta yon sa penthouse?"

"No. I brought it with me." I know he bought it for me and somehow, I think it would be rude not to take it.

He looked relieved at nabawasan ang kunot sa noo nya.

"Let's go home." he said.

Hahawakan na sana nya ako nang ilayo ko ang sarili ko sa kanya.

"Quit throwing tantrums. Uuwi na tayo!"

"Look who's throwing tantrums! Ikaw nga itong sigaw nang sigaw kanina pa!"

"Don't turn the tables here! Let's go!"

"No!"

Pinaningkitan nya ako ng mata but I just crossed my arms instead.

"Susunod ka o bubuhatin kita papuntang sasakyan?"

"No."

"Stop being hard-headed."

"Someone is going to fetch me so you can go now." kumunot uli ang noo nya but this time, halos magdikit na ang kilay nya.

"And who is that?"

"None of your business---" I was cut off when a car stopped in front of us and a tall guy went out of it.
