CHAPTER 34

Amanda's POV

The vacation in Italy is fun until it lasted. I think it's the best vacation I've had so far and I thank Ares for it.

Right now, I'm here in Ares' office and working for Solstice for weeks now. Apparently, Ares convinced me to go back and work with him, I couldn't say no to his offer, after all, Solstice is a great company to work with.

Sa loob ng ilang linggo, marami na agad ako napagdaanan at natutunan. I'm still not a regular though, but I'm already an employee dahil nakapasa na naman ako sa interview. I told Ares that I'm okay working on lower department but he insisted that I'll work under his supervision. Knowing Ares, there's nothing that can change his mind once he settled it but I don't want to get special treatment just because I'm his girlfriend so instead, I made a deal that I'll work under him but not as a regular. I need to earn my title just like the rest of them.

"You're in deep thoughts again." puna nya nang mapansing tulala ako.

"Uhh I'm just thinking about some things." I said and looked at the laptop screen.

"Like?"

"Some things." I'm not looking at him right now but I can tell he's squinting his eyes right now.

"Like. What."

"Some. Things." I mimicked.

"Don't test my patience, Amanda."

"I'm not." I shrugged and acted like it's nothing. It's fun to tease Ares around and it's been a routine ever since I got here. Seeing his frustration brings happiness.

"Fine. Keep acting like that. Don't talk to me until you drop your attitude."

"Okay." I said and gave him an evil smile. Mas kumunot ang noo nya at pabagsak na linapag ang paperwork nya.

It's better this way, at least he'll focus on his work instead of talking to me. I know he got tons of things to do and I don't want to be a hindrance.

Pinagpatuloy ko lang ang ginagawa ko hanggang sa sumapit na ang uwian. I prepared my things and when I'm ready to go, I gave a quick glance on Ares which is still caught up with his works.

Lumabas na ako at nang nasa elevator na ako, biglang tumunog ang phone ko and I know it's a notification from Telegram.

'So you're not going to talk to me and leave like that?'

Napasapo na lang ako sa noo ko dahil sa message nya. Seriously, para syang may toyo. Sya ung nagsabi na wag ko syang kausapin tapos ngayong di ko nga sya kinakausap bigla syang magchachat ng ganyan?

Ugh this is giving me headache.

Hindi ko na sya rineplyan at dumiretso na sa parking lot at mabibitawan ko ang susi ko because for some unknown reason, naunahan pa ako ni Ares at prenteng nakasandal sa labas ng kotse ko.

"So you're just going to ignore my message?" he said with a straight face. I took a deep breath and tried to compose myself pero sadyang maiksi ang pasensya ko.

"Alam mo pagod ako Ares kaya kung papainitin mo lang ang ulo ko maari bang tumabi ka dyan at bubuksan ko ang pinto ko!" sabi ko at tinulak sya palayo. Kabadtrip!

Maya maya pa ay narinig ko syang tumawa at yinakap ako mula sa likod.

"Hahaha! Eto naman naglalambing lang ako. I've never heard you raise your voice before and it's..." he stopped and did a chef's kiss. "Perfecto!"

Hinampas ko ang dibdib nya at sinamaan sya ng tingin.

"Binabadtrip mo talaga ako ano?"

"Nah. That's my take for all your tease these past days." I crossed my arms and prepared for my remark.
