CHAPTER 16

Amanda's POV

"What do you mean?" I asked Camari while I'm organizing stuff in my cubicle.

"Mr. Reviello instructed you to come to his office. Further details will be given." tumingin ako sa mga kasama ko sa loob at lahat sila ay nakatingin sakin.

Alright what's up?

Tumayo na ako at sumunod kay Camari palabas.

"I wonder what he's up to this time." I murmured but it looks like Camari heard it and gave a small laugh.

"Pagpasensyahan mo na si Mr. Reviello. He has a way of doing things." she smiles.

"Is he always like that?"

Camari pushed the button and we stepped inside the elevator.

"He's protective when he values something...or someone."

Hindi na ako umimik at nag intay na lang na makarating sa pinakang taas na palapag.

When we reached his floor, Camari knocked on the door thrice before opening it.

"Mr. Reviello, Ms. Cheng is here."

"Let her in." he said in a cold manner. Camari looked at me and gestured for me to come inside.

Pumasok na ako sa loob at sinara na ni Camari ang pinto, leaving me all alone with Ares.

As usual, he's on his laptop and he looks different with those eyeglasses on. He shot a glance at me before removing his glasses and straightened up his body.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Won't you greet me a 'good morning, amore'?" I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms.

"If you have something to say, spill it already. I still have things to finish downstairs."

He gave me a 'I-ain't-bothered' look and rested his head on his palm.

"Why don't you take a look at your back?" he said. Kumunot ang noo ko at tumingin sa likod ko. There, I saw a desk that's not there before and what confused me more is when I've read the name plate.

"Why is my name written on the name plate?"

"You're moving into my office. After what happened last time, I won't allow you to take such tasks under that department again. Starting today, you will be under my provision."

"What?!"

He raised his brow at me and didn't bother to answer my question. He looked at his files again and started typing again on his laptop.

"If I were you, I'll start moving my things." 

"Why does it have to be in your office?"

"Because I'm the CEO."

UGH I CAN'T WITH THIS GUY!!!

Lagi na lang nyang sabihin ang katagang yon. Oo na sya na ang CEO!

I stomped my way outside dahil wala naman akong magagawa. Kahit labag sa kalooban ko, hinakot ko na ang mga gamit ko pataas. It's a great thing my stuff aren't heavy. Mabilis ko naman silang nailipat.

Pag upo ko sa desk ay nanibago ako dahil ibang iba ito kesa sa cubicle ko sa baba. This feels way more comfortable to work in.

"What will I do?" I asked. He looked at me and gave me a small smile.

"Nothing. Just slack in."

"Ares!" he raised his hand and laughed.

"Okay okay nagagalit ka naman agad." may hinalungkat sya sa table nyang puno ng mga papeles at naglakad papunta sakin.
